  1. I became a believer in Arraez when he came in to pinch hit for Schoop with an 0-2 count and worked a walk. One of the most unbelievable At Bats I have ever seen.
  2. Hmm, in reading through the comments, perhaps it's been a team effort, which means the entire team should be an MVP? Ehire hit the game winning home run against Verlander. Sano's slam was huge. Perez shutting out Houston was huge. The last start by Berrios was huge. Cruz getting the Twins within striking distance last night was huge. Rogers figuring it out was huge. May figuring it out was huge. Duffy figuring it out was huge. Then, the FO bringing up Arraez, which was completely unexpected was huge. Baldelli's "protect the players and even keel" seems to have been huge. The Twins staying in the race, while losing a bunch of key players at the same time, says a lot. This team has had so many memorable moments all year, trying to single out one thing and player that stands out is hard. Yes, I mentioned Cruz, but, rightly so, the addition of Romo was mentioned. I remain cautiously optimistic the Twins win the division. Crud, I just wrote a game thread opener I should have saved.
  3. Cruz. I think his presence has done a lot to help people like Sano figure it out.

  6. It's only the Twins to lose if the Twins get back their starters. There are too many guys playing that have no business playing for an MLB team let alone one that is fighting to make the playoffs. And no, I'm not knocking the Twins, they've really gotten hit hard with the injury bug and it's forced them to use less than ideal players in critical games.
  7. I would prefer Tyner over LaMarre. (I just threw up in my mouth a little bit)
  8. It was just an observation on my part. Eyeball test, as it were. I admit I'm not a batting kinesiology expert like the people who run TD. (no, not snark, I cannot break down the mechanics of a swing like most of the people who write here) I was just offering what I think may be playing into the problems Eddie is experiencing. As of right now, the whole team has crashed due to a slew of injuries, of which Rosario also appears to be a casualty. I know people are down on the Twins, but the injury situation is almost unparalleled and singling out Eddie seems a bit like piling on.
  9. I think Rosario is still playing because the Twins outfield situation is dire. He looks like he's playing hurt.
  10. Cool. Is there a ceremony or anything to honor those of us without a life, err, I mean....
  11. Give Pineda credit, he owned it and didn't throw the Twins under the bus. Could just as easily pointed fingers at the Twins medical staff. Hopefully, the Twins will find a way to overcome this setback.

  13. As long as it's close going into the late innings, Brad Hand is good for at least one win...for the Twins.
  14. Right now, I only care about the Twins making the playoffs. Once the Twins make the playoffs, everything else will take care of itself.
  15. Too early to discuss the Twins magic number? (it's 18, by the way)
