Today's game should be interesting. Will the comeback last night be the one that breaks the back of Detroit or will it inspire Detroit to play even harder? I edited this post to see if it would change CRArko's post. Edit two: Drat, I was hoping as I had visions of fun and frolics with quoted posts. I think this is a flaw and should be addressed by the web site owners.
I watched the Detroit broadcast replay and I cannot dislike the Detroit broadcasters. If only it was Chicago. Hawk is always priceless in these moments.
Wow, they pulled it out..and I turned off the game when it was 6-1 top of the ninth or so. Teach me a lesson. Meanwhile, May is probably wondering why work 7 innings when he can pick up a win working only 1.
It is no longer referred to as "snuff film." The correct terminology is "performance art." Although, the Tigers seem to be performing while the Twins are faking it.
Somewhere, Joe Mauer is smiling.... Seriously, though, I don't like seeing a player go down like this. Hopefully Gordon is able to come back in time to help the Royals.
I remember a story from years ago when Frankie V. was supposedly screamed at by an opposing hitter because he threw 3 changeups in a row (or something like that) and struck the batter out.
So, I get home after running around for a bit and the Twins are up 3-zip. More mlb.tv magic. I sort of thought that Mr. Sano might have hit his first home run. I was not disappointed. The run scored by Joe was heads up baseball.
I see Hicks is going the opposite way this game. Rather than a spectacular play in the outfield and then a home run, Hicks decided to get take care of the home run first. I can hardly wait to see the catch.
