Who should be tossed off the Twins roster tends to be somewhat of a moving target. However, I think we can all agree that at some point this season, everyone on the roster needed to be stuck with a fork and waived.
I was just looking at the art work that accompanies the absolutely brilliant game thread opener. I had no idea Alfred E. Neuman came west in a covered wagon. Learn something new every day.
I'm thinking you need the reward of a nice stay in a warm safe room with pleasant medications to keep you comfortable. Please ignore the men in white coats and the net. They are merely collecting Lepidoptera for a science project.
I think Twins pitchers should expect and maybe even demand to throw 120 to 140 pitches a game. Unless it is Mr. Pelfrey. 60 and done seems to be his MO the last few starts. That way, the bullpen feels needed.
Even if the Twins don't make the playoffs they still made the playoffs. The year has been a success. I would like an official post-season appearance but this unofficial run has been fun if somewhat nerve wracking.
The Twins get within two and the 'pen gives up three more. (maybe more, inning isn't over here yet) I hope Ryan hits the free agent market for bullpen help this winter. It would be completely irresponsible not to do so.
My wife and I had to go refrigerator shopping today. I got home just in time to see the Twins were up 2-0...Houston had the bases loaded, two out...and then the grand slam. My timing is either great or poor, depending on your viewpoint.
samplesizeofone..you're also on my Tonya Harding list if the Twins make the playoffs. Or would that be a Nancy Kerrigan list? Anyway: http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view7/3260398/i-m-watching-you-o.gif
