  1. Molitor is a genius batting Hicks 2nd. Or do we still need to put a fork in Molitor?
  2. Shouldn't that be "totallyhotsupermodel362636?"
  3. My favorite thing, though, is sites that I don't care about that constantly demand I change my password. Those are my "increment by 1" sites. Unfortunately, though, too many people think "increment by 1" is an effective password strategy. For instance, let's say your password is: YankeesSuck0 and the next time you have to change your password you use YankeesSuck..umm, nevermind, I think everyone get's the idea.
  4. If you wash everything in the same load, eventually, you don't have to worry about white, black, green, etc.
  5. Has no one here ever heard of Willie Shoemaker? Sheesh.
  6. Gibson is making the glove pop tonight. I get to watch on regular tv rather than MLB. Yay commercials.
  7. The Twins should feel right at home during this game. 90 degrees and 110% humidity. If you guys in the Midwest wonder where your summer is, it's taking a vacation in CA. Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit.
  8. Beane is doing what the Twins were accused of doing when Calvin Griffith was the owner: Oakland has become a farm team for the rest of MLB. Beane is very good at identifying talent. However, Beane has no idea how to bring home a championship. Or, Beane is more interested in showing off his player development acumen than he is in bringing home a World Series ring.
  9. I don't think the date on the can is really an issue. When you finally open the can, if the smell doesn't kill you, then the beans are most likely edible.
  10. Calvin Coolidge on the cooking of his wife, Grace: GRACE'S COOKING Grace Coolidge did all the cooking and housework in their home. Coolidge used to drop one of her biscuits on the floor and stamp his foot to emphasize the thud. He said they were awful hard. The first time Grace made an apple pie, it came out tough. After she offered it to a couple of her friends, he asked them: "Don't you think the road commissioner would be willing to pay my wife something for her recipe for pie crust?"
  11. Well, there are the old standby questions: Janine Melnitz: "Do you believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?" Winston Zeddemore: "Ah, if there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say."* *Note the key answer: Steady paycheck.
  12. I don't care for them either and I live in CA. I much prefer getting home and turning on the game right away.
  13. Ah, the Twins are back. My withdrawal symptoms were getting out of hand.
  14. No thanks on outside pitching help. Time to find out what the internal candidates can do. About the only thing I can see the Twins making a deal for is a top flight catcher. Even then, it isn't worth giving up the farm.
  15. You can put another win on the boardddd.....YES!
  16. May has pitched two innings and has two wins. May is probably laughing his you-know-what off right now. And Molitor is probably shaking his head thinking that perhaps May has some sort of Vulture mojo going on right now.
  17. That was dumb of Martinez. Still a lot of game and Twins bullpen left.
  18. I lost track. It was more than one, less than 10.
  19. Let me know how that worked out.
  20. *note to self: Check the Detroit Free News after this game.* *Providing, of course, the Twins continue to put the hurt on Detroit.
  21. Either Hughes is very sharp or the Tigers have taken the day off. Let's hope it's a little of both and the situation continues. Go Twins!
  22. Good out by Hicks on a close play and got Suzuki to second. I'm seeing a little more confidence by both Hicks and Santana at the plate.
  23. Detroit DFA'd Chamberlain and another pitcher recently and now they're going after Feliz? Desperation, thy name is Detroit.
