  1. I will now quote myself from a few days ago. Good job, KC! Did I say quote? I meant gloat.
  2. Two blown saves in the Series is enough to give any manager pause.
  3. Again, baseball shows why it is the greatest and cruelest sport. The manager reluctantly leaves Harvey in the game, because Harvey "argued" his way into pitching the ninth. The reality: The Royals appear to have Familia's number and it made sense to let Harvey stay in the game.
  4. So, we had two predictions for the Mets to take it in 5 games. And one is the owner of Twins Daily! I dunno, maybe we need to keep a closer eye on Mr. Stohs? Anyway, the Mets bullpen is now officially hurt. Cueto came through and gave the Royals bullpen a breather.
  5. Way back in July, I put money on KC, in Las Vegas, to win the series. I thought all season that KC was on a mission. So, not only do I think KC will win it, I put money on it. Vested interest, as it were.
  6. Look, these plays used to be taken care of by a baseball in the ribs. As soon as that option was taken away, these things started happening.
  7. This season absolutely wore me out. I'm ready to do it again!
  8. Thank you for the game recap, Seth. I didn't get to watch, due to mlb.tv deciding not to work, for some reason.
  9. That was different. Good job, Mr. Dozier!
  10. USAFChief, I'm a Twins fan, and therefore not quite all "there." Plus, there's always next year.
  11. Ahem, I voted for those that might be in a position to influence those who make the decisions about the game threads for the playoffs. That they also happened to be the best thread starters, in my opinion, is merely coincidence.
  12. Taking the bat out of Rosario's hands was foolish.
  13. I was dismayed, last night, because the Twins got up 5-0 and I was not able to get the game. However, my dismay turned to relief right about the second inning. I've got this "great, the Tigers returned the favor" vibe right now.
  14. Missed that Bremergasm too.
  15. I lost the sound, but not the picture, to mlb.tv and therefore missed the Bremergasm when Hunter tied the game. Do I know how to count my blessings or what?
  16. I understand where John is coming from, but...Duffey is approaching his innings limit for the year. Santana is not eligible for post-season. May is in the bullpen and not available to start in the playoffs. That leaves Pelfrey, Gibson and and Milone to start in the playoffs, should the Twins get there. Like it or not and even though the Twins are in a playoff race, the Twins probably need to get Hughes some innings just in case. Baseball is a cruel game and sometimes there just are not any breaks. Which is why baseball is the best game in the world.
  17. Delving back in to the way back machine, I was not able to watch the beginning of the season. Yes, I was aware of the abysmal start, but I figured I'd get a chance to watch a few of the games. Lucky me, I was able to start watching just as the Twins started to turn things around. Unlucky me, I was able to watch as the Twins tanked. Lucky me, I'm watching meaningful baseball in September. However, the best thing that happened this year was when my wife, realizing a lot of games come down to one swing of the bat being the difference between a win and a loss, asked me how I can stand it.
  18. Duffy's curveball is making me laugh. And glad I'm not trying to hit the stupid thing. Wow.
  19. I grew with some people who made incredible Ebelskivers. Yum.
  20. Who are these "Vikrings of which you speak? There is only Baseball Season and Not Baseball Season. Not baseball season to our northern friends is also known as "ice fishing season. (although ice fishing season is also known as "summer" in the civilized world, but I digress) Not baseball season is also important, as that is the time of year wise men get together and spend enormous amounts of money for no discernible reason other than to win the baseball season before the season actually starts. I guess from the context of what you say the "Vidrings" play some sort of sport. Well, enlighten me, if you must, but be warned, I do not much care for the foolishness of other so-called "sports."
  21. Considering the state of the US dollar, pretty soon, those values will be reversed.
  22. It depends, how much money do you have? Can you survive on chicken hot dish? Would you be interested in joining me at the rifle/pistol range? And how do you feel about me heading north to partake in some of the fabulous Canadian fishing? (Fishing in Canada is one of my best childhood memories. Along with Kamloops.)
  23. I've been in the Crystal Palace a time or two and been blinded by some of the suits. The Crystal Palace is sort of a museum of country bling and twang along with live music and okay food. Did I mention the Crystal Palace is about a 15 minute drive from my house?
  24. The suits are probably in the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, CA. Guess how I might know that...
  25. I have to admit, I'm on the edge of my seat every game right now. Roller Coasters are overrated compared to a baseball playoff race.
