    Some people run toward a camera others away. Far far away. My aging, curmudgeonly visage serves to frighten little children into eating their vegetables. People tell their kids "if you don't eat your vegetables, you'll look just like him!!" I get paid good money to wander around farmers markets. So, there's that.

    I hope I didn't imply that I thought Kirby was being a showman. I thought he was enthusiastic. Like Mr. Dozier when he walked off the Tigers a couple of years ago.

    Yes I think the line is being crossed from enthusiasm to showmanship.

    I think you've hit on something when you mention manners. When I was growing up, it was always considered poor sportsmanship to showboat or show up an opposing player.

    I took a look at the quote in question and taking it a face value, it's merely pointing out the differences in the way the game is viewed and played by different cultures. Calling what Kinsler said "racist" is a huge stretch and merely points to the almost pathological obsession with racism in certain parts of the country. It is no longer "there's a red under the bed" paranoia, rather, it's "there's a racist in the closet" paranoia. I'm completely fed up with this garbage, to be honest. It's become almost impossible to say anything or have any sort of conversation without someone hurling some sort of wild accusation of "racist."

    Good observation. Though, at one time Gordon would have been very good on his own. But, at age 33, he's in his declining years. No way around it.

    Always the possibility. I have the video feed but no sound. I thought Hughes went 4 innings last time, which is why I thought he got knocked out of the game after 2. Or, was he injured? Reach his pitch limit?

    Hughes was knocked out of a Spring Training game. I believe that's the first time I've seen that happen. Interesting.

    Actually, as a Twins fan, I'm going to miss Chris Sale pitching for the White Sox. For whatever reason, the Twins pretty much owned Sale.

    So, you think Colon was somewhat surprised by making contact? Do you think his knees let him know they really weren't up to this nonsense? Looking at the way Colon sort of jogged into second, I have to believe he was thinking "Oh Crap, I have to make it all the way to second." Your thoughts?
