I think everyone needs to be on the table when it comes to trade discussions. The team has under-performed and Twins players need to realize that no one is sacred. It may be the only way to wake the players up. Granted, I don't think players should be given away but if a good offer is made, then make the trade.
I'm going to say this, and I know it's probably controversial, but, here goes: The Twins are not a bad team. They are a good team with good baseball skills. However, the Twins are a bad attitude team. And that attitude appears to have greatly affected their play on the field. Put Hunter back in that clubhouse ASAP.
I mentioned in the game thread last night that I could see an intensity from the Brewers that appears to be lacking for the Twins. And, contrast Molitor pulling Gibson for a pinch hitter last night versus Maddon leaving Lester in the night before. Molitor is a typical old-school manager who keeps trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result.
Anyway, watching Milwaukee play, they are playing very intense baseball. I don't see that same fire with the Twins. Oh, and Dozier needs to sit for a while.
2 of the runs given up were due to bad fielding. Dozier should have done a better job of fielding and Astudillo had an error. Can't afford to give a team like the Brewers extra outs.
Bremer is about league average, from what I can tell. The team is playing badly and, as an announcer, one has to talk about something other than harping on how bad the team is, because, well, he'd be out of work.
Twins are down 8-1 and Dick is talking about how many pitches Lester has thrown. I'm going to hold back with the sarcasm because it has to be tough to be a Twins announcer with the team playing as badly as it is.
