  1. I blame all of the Twins current woes on the White Sox. That team just, arggh, there are no words! Those meddling Sox! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbXxgQLlF08 *Mmm, scooby snacks! Okay, snacks in general. Now that we have the pleasantries aside, it's time to move on. We have another baseball game today in which we hope our favorite 9 can figure this game out and get we, the fans, a W! *Yes, I like ABBA. And your point is? Yes, it's been a very puzzling year but, hey, we're still able to watch the best game every invented. Granted, our team may not be putting their best foot forward these days, but, still, they are our team. With that, I'll toss in a metal interlude just because. *Not sure if this has been used before, but, what the heck, right? With that, I'll leave you with these random thoughts: *Why does the vacuous stare seem familiar? Hmm... Some random observations from last night; 1. Balks can be overturned? 2. Molitor knows how to get ejected? 3. Gibson may not have had the best results last night, but, by golly, he really pitched his guts out. 4. Sox. Uggh. Sox. 5. Morneau played for the Sox at one time. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that one. Play ball! Pitching for the Twins: Jake Odorizzi Pitching for the White Sox: Lucas Giolito

  3. What bothers me is that Escobar and Rosario, two guys who've played their hearts out, are going to get dragged down too.
  4. I would say Molitor has lost this team. The team is flailing and seems to have resigned themselves to their fate. Good grief. The FO made some decent moves to improve the team and, instead, the team is worse. Uggh.
  5. Bring back Ozzie! If for nothing else, he's entertaining. Maybe not always in a good way...
  6. The Sox should send the Twins thank you cards for increasing the trade value of Mr. Shields.
  7. Can Mr. Gibson swing a bat? Because, with the way he fields the ball, he could maybe fill in around the diamond.
  8. Wow, lots of talent there. Winning coach at football along with an incredible race car driver. I wonder how he found time for all of that?
  9. Lineups will follow later. If someone beats me to it, great.
  10. Because I like the classics, I thought I'd throw this out there: *Yeah, yeah, I know, I qualify as a "classic" myself. Maybe even "antique." What, exactly does this have to do with the Twins playing the White Sox? I have absolutely no idea. But, hey, baseball! Speaking of which, did you know the Twins are currently 6-3 against the White Sox? (I couldn't find an official source, so, I added it up myself. Fortunately, I had enough fingers.) *I may or may not have used this method of counting. Though the Twins have fared well against the Sox, I blame the Twins troubles on the Sox games that were postponed early in the season. *Trouble, I say you got trouble, son! And with that, I leave you with these incredibly irrelevant thoughts: Some random observations from Sunday: 1. Hard to believe, but Colon really grew on me though I hated the signing last year. And he showed why he's still pitching in the big leagues on Sunday. 2. Berrios: Showed the big dog the young dog can get it done too. 3. The Twins seem to know how to get on base. It's after getting on base the problems seem to start. 4. Hildenburger is looking like the real deal. 5. I cannot say enough good things about Fernando Rodney. Seems to be the bullpen equivalent of Bartolo when it comes to keeping calm and taking care of business. Play Ball! Pitching for the Twins: RHP Lance Lynn Fun note: Lance Lynn has posted a 2.88 ERA over his last nine starts. Pitching for the White Sox: RHP Reynaldo Lopez Not so fun note: Last time Reynaldo pitched against the Twins, he allowed only 1 hit over seven innings and wound up with a no decision.
  11. Colon has thrown roughly 70 pitches through 6 innings, yet Morisson takes a close pitch? Really? Morris rightly pointed out that Colon has been in the strike zone all day, so best be swinging the bats!
  12. Well, that list of legitimate issues that need to be addressed is so long this one is probably about middle of the pack.
  13. I think the whole team is infected with a malaise of some sort they just cannot seem to shake off. Anyway, I looked up Wilson's career stats and they are ugly. Career .208 hitter.
  14. Yeah, but I think Mr. Grossman stands out in that sea of disappointment.
  15. Wait and see. I wonder if the new FO thought the team would regress this year after the way the played last year and have run things accordingly.
  16. Grossman really disappoints me this year. Last year, I thought he'd turned the corner and become a decent fielder with a good bat. And, of course, Mr. Grossman regressed with a vengeance this year.
  17. Couldn't they at least play the AA team?
  18. I think that Grossman at bat clearly defines just what the Twins are this year. Clueless and apathetic.
  19. "The thought process between the unwritten rules of the game is not clearly defined," he said. "What I might think and what he might think might be different things. I was surprised that [Profar] ran with the score the way it was, when he did. And getting hit there was something that Banister felt wasn't appropriate." ---------------- Molitor took exception to a stolen base in the 4th inning? Really? I read that as "The game was out of hand and we'd given up so, why are you rubbing it in?" That's an astounding mindset by the manager of the Twins. edit: Ninjad. I see Jerr pretty much said the same thing.
  20. No, you are correct! It's worse...
