    I've been thinking a lot about this in the past 24 hours so let's use logic. 30 Teams, 30 #1, 30 #2, 30 #3, 30 #4, 30 #5...it's what you have...a rotation. If you have only 10 Aces, then you have to have pitchers you call #1 but not an Ace...no one thinks that way. Logic part dos: An Ace is a card from a deck of cards. Ace in a deck is a number 1.

    Is it possible that the Twins try to send him down so as to have 5 starters in AAA when they call up Berrios? Please be true?

    Team as a whole contending for the pennant? Pretenders. This year is the last year of preparing for next year. Next year I EXPECT contenders. This year, I see them remaining right around 500 and selling a couple pieces at the All Star Break/Trade Deadline in preparation for next years run. This is also still the first year of Falvey/Lavine and they are still putting the pieces in place for their grand scheme. I don't think they are even pretending that they are doing anything more than establishing the groundwork for what we all hope will be a long run of contention behind Berrios, Gonsalves, and McKay.

    I seems like I have seen David Hurlbut in the also rans MANY times over the last few years. He stands out to me as a pitcher with that name is cool in itself. Is he another Wheeler? Always a bridesmaid, never destined to dance center stage with the big club?

    For a minute I questioned Burdi at two over Anderson at three but factoring in age vs competition, I can see this ranking.

    I saw TJ White on the list. His Lookouts page says he is on the DL as well.

    Safety: he doesn't pan out as a pitcher so you slide him over to short stop.

    Pitches every fifth day, plays short the other four, doesn't need a DH, hey, Can he Manage too?

    Going to CR for a game or two from the cities is my definition of fun! IF you have not done it, do it! I would be EXTREMELY surprised if anyone told me they walked away disappointed they had made the drive.

    I'm not sure I want to like this because of the trauma involved in my inner being... The same trauma that also almost makes me want to hit the non existent dislike button. Thanks for making me want to cower in the corner and Rock back and forth for an hour or two...

    BTW, I had a wicked, unhittable curve ball/fastball combo in whiffle ball but I walked a lot of hitters...

    I never pitched baseball but in softball I pitched a lot. location, pitch selection (I had 4 different spins including a knuckleball) and knowing the batter mattered a lot while throwing extremely easy to hit slow pitch softballs. If I knew what the batter wanted to do, I didn't give him those pitches. Much the way pitchers stopped throwing Dozier inside for half a season. I know everyone (even my mom) is ripping me in their mind for a slow pitch softball/MLB comparison but the point is, controlling the situation by knowing where to pitch and actually putting that pitch in that spot is the biggest trait of a successful pitcher IMHO.

    This seems more like the beginning after the beginning or is this the beginning of the end, the end of the beginning, or something else?

    One word on Palacios last year, he had some injury issues just when he was starting to come around. Yes he started real slow but I still look at last year as more a lost year then time to give up on him. He does need to step up this year though, (And stay healthy while doing it)

    I think likelihood of actually making the majors and what they will do when they get there has a lot of weight on rankings which would push Javier down a list if I were to make one. That is part of the fun of these lists, they vary so much from person to person based on what they value more or less than the next guy and his list...

    Unfortunately a raw prospect like this won't be to the Majors for 4 years and that would be a fast timetable. This is an AAP to follow for the next several years.
