  1. Thanks for the report. You did forget to finish typing the AA score though.
  2. We have had lots of pitchers come through the MLB club and be much worse than where they were before whether it was from free agency, trade, or promotion from the minors which again brings up the topic of defense behind them. It also makes me wonder about pitch framing, pitch calling, and overall coaching. Seeing one or two guys plummet is just part of the ups and downs of seasons and careers. Santiago was hot before arriving and now we're lynching him... Maybe the pitchers are not the (only) problem.
  3. You beat me to AJ Murray Molina though has been more of a 3B than a SS this year...
  4. The hype hasn't just been by the Twins. These prospects have had national attention. Sano seems to be able to live up to that hype and I believe Buxton will eventually as well. Meyer was definitely disappointing but I believe he was mishandled. Berrios is still emerging as well...those are the big names that have had the most attention. The second tier prospects: Arcia, Vargas, Rosario, Polanco, May, Gibson, and Kepler are a mixed bag so far. We will see where that all ends up. After them are lottery tickets: Duffey, most of the bull pen, Danny Santana, Escobar, Many that have been up and down over the past few years. You expect the majority of them to fail. I'm sure I'm missing lots of names but my point is there are differences in the big hype and the other prospects that come up.
  5. But of course we still have Plouffe. If your worried about the future of 3B, the better answer is to hold on to Plouffe who has proven himself there. Polanco is speculative on whether that is a place for him as is SS. Polanco is a second baseman.
  6. Wait, I forgot to throw in the obligatory Plouffe part of the trade...
  7. Start the discussion offering Brian Dozier for SF Giants AA Prospect Tyler Beede plus a low A prospect. See if you can work from there to offering other pieces to also get Aramis Garcia. I am not sure if they would take Ervin Santana though Santana has outperformed both Peavey and Cain this year so you would probably need someone else to sweeten the pot for Garcia...
  8. Go blockbuster. Dozier And Santana for A can't miss Ace from AAA to pair with Berrios and a high minors Can't miss catcher both that are projected ready next year. So who needs a proven 2B and SP both reasonably controlled that has those pieces?
  9. I think Danny Santana has played out his string and Robbie Grossman returns next year as the fourth or fifth option. In my head, I see the Twins cutting ties(hopefully via trades) with DSan, Vargas or Park(I think Park stays), and Plouffe before Spring Training. I am also confident that Palka will leap frog ABW to the majors and if either is here in the Spring, it will be Palka.
  10. Looking at their defensive stats does not support my previous comment and both of them have played primarily 2nd though Guzman is listed as a SS and Arraez is 2nd base. Guzman is 21 Arraez is 19
  11. I also wonder why not Arraez but that is great for Guzman. He began the year on the DL and now has earned that promotion. Great news for Guzman! My guess would be Arraez is still so young vs league and he must have some defensive issues to work out. CR with Jake Mauer is a great place to be to work them out.
  12. With 8 innings I would think Kohl Stewart worthy of pitcher of the day...
  13. On the year Santiago is immediately the team leader among starters in Strike outs and wins and second on the team in ERA, K/9 and innings pitched. I am immensely overjoyed at our upgrade in Starting Pitching with his acquisition
  14. Gotta love the honorable mentions, and there were quite a few of them as well!!
  15. How about Dereck Rodriguez? In his last 5 games he has gone 6-7 1/3 innings each time allowing a total of 7 runs. He has struck out 20 and only walked 8 for 3 wins and a tough luck loss.
  16. It depends on if you're asking how many players are traded or actual trades occur. I think there is a good chance Suzuki and either Kinzler or Abad are packaged in the same deal.
  17. And now it has Eduardo and not Adalberto And ours with Adalberto on Our 40 man roster http://m.twins.mlb.com/roster/40-man/
  18. Thank you for the honest explanation. I thought it was weird and out of character with everything else you guys do here so I wasn't offended but I was confused. I REALLY appreciate all you guys do here to make this the premier Twins site.
  19. This is San Franciscos 40 man roster tonight with our newest pitcher on it. Look quick, it may be different tomorrow. http://m.giants.mlb.com/roster/40-man/
  20. He was on San Franciscos 40 Man roster so he has to be on ours or designated for assignment if I understand the system correctly.
  21. Hey, I started a thread 21 minutes earlier... I've been hi jacked by Seth! JK Can the two threads be merged?
