  1. OK, so can we please be done with the Justin Lawrence experiment. He's throwing batting practice, and seems like every team is taking him deep! He really is hurting team right now. I am going to the games here in Phoenix on Saturday and Sunday...YAY!! But I don't want to see Lawrence pitching this weekend! Dang!
  2. Huh? You mean like Outman, Lewis, Wallner, Travis Adams, Klein or EEEK Manual Margot? Some of these guys should have never been on the team! I’d say just the opposite. This year the Twins are FINALLY holding players accountable. I can see Shelton saying “Don’t care how good you think you are, Mr Wallner (or Lewis), you’re going to AAA and you won’t be back until you have earned it!”
  3. Yes let’s just leave Royce alone at 1B!!!! He’s happy, he’s doing well and he’s working hard and learning. Don’t fiddle with him now!!! Might mess him up again! Cheers to stability.
  4. Geez Bean #2: Jenkins is batting .284/.414/.453/.867 in AAA. That's better than any player on the Twins today. And, his OPS is second only to Buxton. Can you explain exactly what you mean by "barely holding his own at AAA?" Sure, it's only 26 games, but those are no barely holding is own stats!!! And, like everyone else, he will slow down when facing advanced pitching in MLB. Couple this with great Defensive skills. He's a grade 60 prospect and 11th best in MiLB for a reason....not because he's been barely holding his own in StP.
  5. Yes, after last night, I have no idea how Lawrence is still on the team. That was batting practice bad! He has just been horrific since he came to the Twins. Send him to StP and see if he can still pitch over there, instead of blowing up games over here.
  6. Ok. Enough already. I am just sick of this bullpen! We are constantly losing games with this inept bullpen. This is the result of Falvey thinking he was the smartest guy in the room. I am so sick of this!!! Just so ya know….Varland has a 0.96 ERA with 49 Ks and only 10 walks over 37.1 innings this year. How’s that trade working out, Mr Smart Guy? Geez, no wonder Falvey left town. He wouldn’t have survived the heat!
  7. Easy. It leaves Cholowsky our starting SS when he’s ready. He will be the best Correa for the Twins but, hopefully won’t flame out like CC did! He’s that good. A SS with real power. The question becomes who will be the odd man out? A good argument can be made for many, like Culpepper, Lee, Houston, Keaschall, and even Lewis to be traded out. Hopefully one of these guys can move over to 1B (I’d vote Lewis if he finds his bat). Maybe Lee.
  8. Absolutely! Why not let Ryan and Karat choose the pitches? That would be interesting! He certainly seems capable.
  9. I think we are saying the same thing. Sure, the LAD tried Outman in CF for a couple of good chances before they subbed in Pages. Maybe they rushed Pages up a bit but they couldn’t continue with Outman. So they moved on. The Twins, on the other hand, brought Wallner up on 2022… and still he has made little progress. The LAD world not give a player 4 years to learn the Biggs. Wallner has only two of five skills: arm and power. He has had countless chances over 4 MLB seasons to develop into a better hitter/fielder. He has consistently failed. My point was that the LAD would not have given Wallner 4 years.
  10. Oh Boy, DREAM ON. I have no prob losing SWR. Too bad but that was a bad trade and it’s now in the rear view mirror. I am happy to see the Twins holding players accountable. Sure, more to come. What this really shows is how thin the Twins team really is! We only have 3-4 dependable pitchers on the team-and some are injured. We have 3-4 excellent fielders. The rest, not so much. I do hope they now call up the young new outfielders. The Outman experiment is over. Let’s see if some of this upcoming talent can fill some holes. We need to know so we can fill them next season (if there is a next season).
  11. Yeah but not all 30 go through this the same way. The LAD have very few, if any, Wallners on the team. They were given the corner pocket a very long time ago. Then the LAD just go out and buy a great replacement.
  12. The chance of the Twins holding on to Ryan are about 0.0000000%. Full stop.
  13. At what point do you give up on Outman and/or Wallner. Pathetic is right !!! I am absolutely sick and tired of all the RISP opportunities left behind by Wallner. I wonder if the Twins are afraid of swapping Wallner for Emma because if they do, Wallner might never play another game in Minneapolis? Buy throwing him out there every day over and over just hoping he breaks out is just insanity. Maybe even stupidity.
  14. The last time the Twins had a clear #1 starter, like a Verlander or Clemons, was Johann Santana. I like the idea of Flora too, but not sure they are going to listen to us! I think the Twins mgmt completely ignores TD and PP. It would be nice if they would appreciate what fans are thinking/saying....
  15. Santana the phenom of phenoms! Blyleven—the Eveready Battery! I thought he was going to retire then zoom zoom another five years on the mound. And so much fun! 17Ks maybe some future phenom can get there but you need Skenes talent and a willing mgr today
  16. The greatest international player ever signed by the Twins (and also my favorite Twin ever!) was the immensely skilled, fabulously talented, and super great guy, MR. Tony Oliva. I don't think we ever had a more gracious Gentleman on the team. In 1964, he was ROY and lead ALL of MLB in hits, runs, AND batting AVG along with being a great fielder, leading all of MLB in putouts. He came in 4th in MVP voting in 64 and runner up 3 times more. 17-time All Star. Just sayin..,.. So, We can find remarkable talent in the international free agent pool. I could never figure out why the Twins never played in the deep end of the pool, where the better talents are lingering...especially when we had such large international free agent bonus pool ($7.3 million this year). Maybe this is just another example of the Pohlads being cheap? They are afraid of spending money--so much so that they traded int'l bonus pool $$$ for a player (Banda) earlier this year! Whew!
  17. Agreed. Cherry picking stats. Compare the first few columns of data-Wallner isn’t even close! Especially look at number of games, RBI. so if we want to send Wallner to AAA to get his hitting back up to par, then why not bring up Emma to play RF full time—his hitting IS up to par!!!!
  18. Man oh man...I am sorry to say but he was not even close to the 7th best outfielder...maybe the 7th worst! He was dismal at driving in runs, the ideal goal for a power hitter...with 118 runs over those 3 years. Top outfielders like Judge and Soto hit drive in nearly that man runs in one season, not 3! Over three years, Judge: 333 RBI! Wallner's best year, subjectively, was 2024, where he hit 13 HR, but struck out 95 times. Ouch. Not a good year. OK, how about 2025? 40 RBI, 114K's. He is a strikeout machine! Looking at Statmuse, I can't even get down to Wallner's level-his stats are so bad. They only show the top 25 outfielders in any season. So, here's a good question...WHAT the heck happened to Wallner? He looking like he was starting to ascend in 2024 and I know he was injured, but what to his hitting? Starting some time in late 2024, his batting AVG just went into the tank and his K's went throug the roof! He is currently hitting at a rate of around 283 K's for the year (the record for most K's in a year is 223!). He's sitting at #2 right now with 34 (James Wood, who had 221 K's last year, is in first with 36 Ks).
  19. LOL....I am confused to all heck! I am a fan on this site and for the life of me, I was not exacerbated when Larnach was tendered last fall. But, yeah, he is the one that has some actual trade value. As for Wallner...did you mean to say that Wallner's best is not as good as Larnach's worst? Yeah...OK...if we weren't carrying dead weight OUTman, then yeah, Wallner would look stupid being the worst hitter on the team. But that's not all...because he is also a poor RF'er and not at all fast. I hope he finds a fine future in MLB, probably as a DH, with SOME OTHER team!
