  1. Not everyone knows this, but TheLeviathan is also a Nigerian prince. Welcome.
  2. Who do you think Dave's source is? They met at one of the pub outings. [in all seriousness, thanks for the info and thread Dave.]
  3. I believe this is true -- he hears his information from this guy who conveniently lives on his bookshelf. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BNzwxEropcc/Tsrupueua6I/AAAAAAAAH10/F8BkdymBAI4/s1600/dodgerbobbleheads.jpg
  4. I am surprised a reputable sports webpage would allow fake news to be posted.
  5. So Chief is the equivalent of post 1,000,000?
  6. You really do embody the spirit of playing the game the right way.
  7. This might not be completely Dozier related, but I feel if Mrs. Brady would have died during the season, this would have been acknowledged on a game thread. I apologize if this was already mentioned on one of the previous 38 pages. I will let you get back to the in-depth analysis of the Dozier trade.
  8. I have not been to the webpage for awhile - should I take the time to go through all 28 pages? Will it improve my baseball IQ?
  9. Probably does make sense for him to go at this time. While he made some mistakes as GM, I always felt some of the problems were left-overs from Terry's first tenure, and wondered how much influence he might have had after he left, since he was still in the organization. Post-GM, didn't he get some good marks for work he did with the renovation of Fort Meyers? Sounds like he is a good guy with some talents, but probably not the right choice to be a GM.
  10. Some days it is so sore that it is a struggle to post comments on this webpage, but a drink will help that (as well as help getting through the last 5 out of 6 seasons).
  11. If they are going to go a former Twin, who was a great utility player and was part of the team that actually won a play off series - I know of someone who has kept up with the game by studying the analysis of the great baseball minds posting this webpage (as long as they keep elephant foot Jacque Jones off the staff).
  12. Thanks. I have a Roku stick and have been toying with adding Sling for awhile. This might put me over the edge (in a different way than last season put me over the edge).
  13. Since you can raise the dead - I might go with a FDR/Humphries ticket, unless zombie FDR would have to count the terms served while alive. In that case, I would maybe go for Wellstone for a more liberal candidate.
  14. I wish I would have remembered this thread last Tuesday. It might have made the evening a little more bearable. This board always has some interesting opinions. I am tempted to go back and read everyone's thoughts, but I think I need a little more time to pass first. I am old enough to remember my Dad saying, Reagan will never be elected - more form than substance. This seems like that but on steroids.
  15. Looks like he fainted when you said he was still going to have to watch the Twins bullpen until the weekend.
  16. You have some work to do. I am pretty sure I was able to canoe on Canadian water on Moose Lake last month (we tend to have about five names for all of our lakes), and security was pretty lax. If there would have been some exotic Canadian product that had a high demand to smuggle back with me - I could have done it easily. Who is paying for this wall? You might want to try billing the city of Roseau. I think Ely would just ignore you.
  17. I suppose as the board's Mauer apologist/homer, I should say "Wohoo!"
  18. It is a little bit of speculation on my part and it is possible that the dog was a run away that the owners did not find. I lean more towards her being abandoned, because no one ever called animal control looking for her and I never had an experience of her completely running off when she escaped from me (although it is possible she might have had a bigger tendency to run before, and she might have been a bit more motivated not to be out of my sight after losing her first owners). Also, and this is even bigger speculation, she was two and not spayed (she is not a purebred who you would plan on breeding), which led me to wonder if she was not getting the care she needed.
  19. That is cool that you foster. I don't understand how someone can just abandon an animal. My dog was found as an abandoned animal when she was 2. Sweet dog and for her young age at the time, pretty mellow and low maintenance, but someone decided they did not want her or could not handle her and did not even bother to bring her to a shelter.
  20. It looks like you have good hand-eye coordination.
  21. There is some obligatory Chief joke in there somewhere. I wonder which side he was on.
  22. Any discussion of the Picard show really should to be post- Wesley. Kirk never would have let him on his ship.
  23. I have not read much of the thread yet, but am going to go out on a limb and say you probably won't need the avatar change for that to be true.
