    I don't think so -- there seems to be too much discussion about baseball and the actual game for this to be a game thread.

    For some reason that does not make me feel better.

    Gibson being a consistently good pitcher the beginning of the season was one of the things I was most excited about for the long term good of the team. Needless to say, I have not been as excited about his play as of late.

    Yogi was not only a great player, and awesome at stealing picnic baskets, he had a lot of insightful quotes. This board has taught me a lot.

    Remember back to when there would be a CBU and sometimes the Twins score would change. Those were good times.

    I know coaches are often an easy scapegoat and unfairly blamed for a team's struggles, but with this non-existent hitting across the board I am starting to wonder if there are some coaching issues or if they could be adjusting things in a different way. Or it could be our players just not have it...

    I think he has to be considered a finalist for the Cy Young award, because our offense would eviscerate anyone of a lesser quality. I suppose there is some minimal chance they are having an off day offensively, but that does not seem likely.

    I know - I am so far behind the times, even my crabby old man rants or ramblings have outdated references.

    ND is known for its high Polynesian population. I believe it is the highest outside of Winnipeg. As a kid - Hawaii 5-0 was past my bedtime. I used to thing the wave was so cool, I would sneak out of my bedroom to catch a glimpse of it going into commercial breaks. Back in the olden days kids did not need an i-phone or game boy to be entertained.

    Since there might not be another opportunity to find a semi-relevant place for these power Ranger pictures... A month ago I would have been confident the Twins could have morphed out and defeated any alien baseball monster.     People remember the Lakers moving to LA and the North Stars moving to Dallas, but for some reason forget about when the Hibbing Iron Rangers moved to Texas. Bob Dylan's grandfather was on the team, and the town's pain from losing the team fueled a lot of Bob's early songwriting. If we lose today, it will obviously be because RB was not sincere in having positive thoughts.     This would make a good Twins promotion in the future -- we have had enough bobble heads -- and I don't think I have ever seen them give out something like this.

    I believe this happened - there was a picture the other day talking angrily about something into his Nokia flip phone.

    If anyone paid attention to the always analytically-packed, heavily-intellectual game-thread yesterday, all that is needed is for Chief to keep making home run calls. Problem solved.

    In Oz you are supposed to be a character different from your real life.

    That might be a little unsettling, esp. if it followed the movie where the Oz characters were versions of people she new from her real life --- RB as the scarecrow -- Chief as the wizard -- Bark as a poppy pusher -- Hawk H. as one of the talking trees etc. Having to rely on these people to help her get back to Chicago. Hopefully no one will try to sing.
