    I'm enjoying the season despite Rocco's managing shortcomings. Many people on TD believe Rocco has a great wealth of baseball knowledge and I don't have any reason to disbelieve them. However, there's a big difference between having knowledge and knowing how to use it!

    Who do you think the next Twins manager will be? I certainly would be willing to give Pierzynski a shot at managing the Twins starting tomorrow.

    I'll drink to that... Let's make their losing streak 20 in a row! I've always disliked the White Sox even though an uncle I really like is a big fan. He used to buy me baseball cards when I was a kid.

    I fondly remember Jim Holt profusely sweating while patiently signing autographs for us kids after a game back in the late 60's or early 70's. He was the only Twin signing that day. Thanks Jim!

    Yep, I trade Jenkins or Lewis plus any pitcher the twins have in the minors for Skubal everyday of the week. Of course I'd try to lock Skubal into a long-term contract.

    Here's a confession; I'm sitting here throwing up my hands in confusion over the trade deadline. I've read all the posts on TD about what should have happened at the deadline and who's to blame for what did or didn't occur. I don't know what they should have done because I don't know the financal constraints and which prospects the FO values the most. I also don't know what the real timeline for Correa and perhaps Topa to be back in the mlb. I personally wish the Twins could have improved the pitching (starting or relief) at the deadline. But I do know I value healthy MLB players way more than I value any prospect in any minor league system. A proven healthy consistent MLB track record trumps anything to me.

    Perhaps their idea of winning ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) is different then ours? To me the ideal Twins ownership would be someone who is very wealthy, has enough profit from other sources so they don't care about taking reasonable team financial loses, and has a passion for this baseball team to win big. You know.... someone who has a very expensive hobby! I almost never make money on my hobbies.

    That's a good plan, but I hope they don't let up because they're such a bad team at this point. One game at a time.

    The Twins broadcast team has been talking about food all half inning. Am I a "sour puss" for wanting them to discuss the game instead?

    I'm thinking this is my favorite game of this series. It sure is allot more fun when the twins takes quality ABs instead of trying to hit 5-run homers (with nobody on base) on pitches out of the strike zone.

    I'm glad you can't attend all those games in-person or else we'd all have to chip together to pay to have a Cardiologist on speed-dial for you.
