    So we'll move on from two below average catchers to one and an unknown? Things are truly looking up. Let's keep in mind it's a short term issue..for a year or four months (or maybe two or three if a labor stoppage lingers.) Don't sell the farm for this.

    You're right about 'not all of them'. Sheer volume says we will have a few serviceable MLB players, a few above average, and maybe one star out of Lackey, Jenkins, Culpepper, Houston, Keaschall, Roden, Lee, Emmy, Mendez, Tinney, Winokur. Of course not long ago we said the same of Lewis, Julien, Wallner, Miranda, Martin, Jeffers, Hindsight is such fun!

    Paredes and Ober are other internal options. The premise is fundamentally correct to identify the options but frustratingly vague in how to proceed. Whether the first domino is keeping Ryan Jeffers, trading Joe Ryan, or both, will impact how the first dollars to fall are spent. What to do with Royce Lewis, AJ Minter, Victor Caratini, Josh Bell, and Trevor Larnach will have secondary impacts.
