  1. If that doesn't happen nothing matters. I'll pull for the Sox before the Guards.
  2. If you pronounce it Pot-CHAY' I smell a limerick.
  3. You want to gut three starters and discount the ace for the last three years. The Bullpen sale will pale in comparison..
  4. He's never faced the likes of Ben Ross.
  5. I hope so. Fedde is 4-0 (1.36 ERA) lifetime against us.
  6. They set us up to get Fedde every time and he hands it to us every time. I see your Fedde and offer you Zebbe.
  7. 11) Kyler Fedko, signed to a minor league contract by the Pirates. Needed a little good news.
  8. A pitcher who botches the fielding. Think 2024 Jax.
  9. Gausman will be way overpaid. Pablo will give the same results. (Albeit at a cost too, but it's already sunk.)
  10. I don't believe we would get the same value from trading him as we would by keeping him. I don't expect a ton either way. If he's around until the trade deadline, five six wins, 4.8 era.
  11. On paper it's one of the better rotations in the AL. Getting from paper to the mound is the trick. No worries in choosing an ace, a more useful conversation would be in juggling the rotation so opponents get a different look from game to game. Taj, Abel, Zebby and Pablo are power pitchers; Ober and Kremer, finesse pitchers relying on control, Prielipp and Ryan have unique approaches emphasizing release points and out pitches. That's eight possible arms, you can guess the number of games lost due to injury. Hopefully four of em make it through the entire year unscathed and not in need of a reset.
  12. Well we gained 0.5 games in the division standings today but fell 0.5 further back in the wildcard race. Such is life in September. HOU 6 CHW 2 (f) TOR 6 CLE 3 (f)
  13. Check your headlights. Irony loves a Twins fan. 😉
  14. There is plenty of time for further heartbreak. Rest today, aspirin tomorrow.
  15. "Toolsyness". Tell me more of toolsyness. Any positive trending for long term improvement is good. Pop up names like Bohorquez are ones we need to learn.
  16. Likely. But that's not why we're here.. or is it..
  17. Last night in a microcosm. No hitting til there was. Then there wasn't again. Suspect pitching from the starter and Funderburk. Nance should never have come out for a second inning, if not for incompetent at bats from Clemens, Culpepper, Lewis and others. Using a position player then not using him, then never using a guy who's on the bench, why? All fairness Shelton probably thought we had the game won in the eighth. Til we didn't.
  18. Ick. The lineup is a lot less professional without Josh Bell in it. Take note for 27
  19. The Clemens Lewis, or Culpeper AB. Take your pick. Shoulda woulda
