  1. I'm not sure how it is in Minnesota. Out here, the summer snow season (blooming cottonwoods) have just started, increasing all the allergies for everyone.
  2. This makes the decision to DFA SWR even more mind boggling and incredibly short-sighted. Yes, he may have been the worst starting pitcher in baseball prior to being demoted to the bullpen. You still need arms to get through the season.
  3. My money would have been on a Wallner burner account, but I am terrible at gambling.
  4. Hear him out. Maybe he wants to see the biggest pillow fights of the year next week when the Royals and Tigers come up on the schedule. Who doesn't want to see a 15-inning marathon where the score after 9 innings is 0-0 because both teams can't find the ball to hit.
  5. Keaschall trying to become a permanent lawn ornament at PNC park with that swing.
  6. Exactly. All the earlier blunders are still there, but the Twins had fought back to get in the game and would likely have a lead had Shelton not left Funderburk in too long.
  7. I think the Twins need to get a couple of bats sawed off like that. There are some vampires lurking around that could use an impaling.
  8. The funny answer is when the Jolly Roger shows up and steals your pig roast.
  9. I'm ok with that Bell AB. He did drive a run in. When he hit it softly on the ground, I was expecting an inning-ending double play.
  10. That seems to be the Twins' luck. Buxton hits a ball off of the wall and because the launch angle was so high, no one could score.
  11. With that as the concept, the Brewers should be in last since they are the only NL Central team to give up a game to the Twins.
  12. I didn't understand this move at all. Klein can go multiple innings, and you started with two switch hitters and a righty. Funderburk barely got out of the last inning.
  13. Is that like Dante traversing to the next level of hell? Asking for a friend. 😉
  14. Unfortunately, he really can't. After burning the bullpen yesterday, it's Funderburk and Klein will likely have to make it through this game unless, by some voodoo magic, the Twins take the lead.
  15. Unlike Randy Marsh here, we need to hear a Bell!
  16. This was her last game with the CWS. Slightly below average, but definitely not the worst we have ever seen.
  17. Still not in love with the lazy soft tosses by Keaschall. One of those times, Bell will drop the ball having to reach for it.
  18. It can still be valid, just not for this inning.
  19. I think it was the crew chief, Jordan Baker at 1st, who tossed him. Agree though that the umpire crew messed up and then doubled down by tossing Lowe over their error. I hope that is something that is addressed in a future CBA negotiation. If you toss someone over your own error, you get suspended for a game.
  20. Plouffe did criticize the poor route running of Larnach for allowing more runs to score.
  21. I would say this about Plouffe's defense of Larnach. I would bet that Plouffe is speaking from his own experience of feeling lost when he could not see the ball on what should have been an easy out from his playing day. He knows the play should have been made. Rather than just straight running the guy down, he gives a little grace in suggesting that the high skies does make the ball hard to spot. Larnach isn't the first, nor will he be the last guy to lose a a ball in the sun.
  22. Updated Bullpen Spreadsheet. Klein looks to be in another state of a 'bulk' pitching since this would have been his day to pitch if you believe in the 4 day schedule. Bullpen panic rating: HOT! HOT! HOT!
