  1. Pirates radio can't read jersey numbers. Apparently, it was Rogers all along. Rogers coming in for the save.
  2. That setup gets you to Cruz. I figure the game will end with Cruz one way or another.
  3. I hope they warm up Rogers for the 9th. My trust meter is much better for him than Funderburk. Lineup is expected to be L, L, S, R, L.
  4. Pirates radio called it correctly. They said it was Keaschall who dropped the ball.
  5. Funderburk warming in the bullpen. Not exactly the place I'd like to see him in.
  6. Pirates radio says they have been 1-20 when behind after the 6th inning. This may be the immovable force vs the unstoppable object. Pirates' late inning hitting vs Twins pitching.
  7. Laweryson warning up in the bullpen. Should be coming in now.
  8. The sports better who bet the over in this game have already cashed out so there's no need for the Buffalo Wild Wings button to be pushed.
  9. One change I would like to see with the ABS challenge system is giving an extra challenge for the 9th inning or later rather than just in extra innings, similar to asking for a crew chief review any time after the 8th inning. If that were to happen, it would after the season.
  10. So far this season, I have liked Shelty's moves out of the bullpen. This seems like one of those where he seems reluctant to take a guy out. Shelty can have a tendency to leave a guy in one batter too late and then the decision doesn't make any sense. Banda will now be coming in with a L, S, R, L.
  11. Guess who is warming in the bullpen?? It's Banda time!
  12. Why Kody, why would you challenge that? I can see us needing that challenge later in the game.
  13. Sounds like a nice hustle double for Keaschall. The Pirates radio boys said that Cruz was lazy getting over to the ball.
  14. Orze coming in. Interesting choice considering the lineup coming up. They must want him to go more than 1 inning.
  15. Maybe. But if you want a lefty for later in the game, you may need Rogers. Rogers only threw 7 pitches yesterday. Banda threw 14 but may not be your first choice out of the pen either as you'd want to keep a lefty for tomorrow.
  16. I'm not sure they do. Next 4 hitters are 2 lefites, a switch hitter, and a righty in the heart of the order. May be a line for Funderburk to come in.
  17. The radio option also lets you listen to the opposing team's radio broadcast. I'm listening to the Pirates broadcast tonight for a change of pace.
  18. And that may end up being the answer on what to do with Lewis, at least temporarily. Whenever they think Lewis is ready to come back up, he may end up replacing Keaschall and go back to playing third while Lee and Clemens would share 2nd.
  19. I think it's too easy to tear down SWR for today's start and he definitely deserves much of the criticism for the year in general. When Shelton was interviewed postgame, he told the press that Rojas was scratched about an hour before 1st pitch and told SWR that he was going to step in and make the start. Today is SWR's first appearance with less than 4 off days between appearances and after he threw 35 pitches on Monday. When I saw the change from Rojas to him, I expected it to be a scramble drill. I didn't expect much out of the game today whether it was Rojas or SWR since the original move to have Rojas start seemed a bit haphazard. I can only assume that Rojas will have to go on the IL or optioned to St Paul because the Twins will now need bullpen help for the rest of the road trip and their next day off is June 8th.
  20. I'm afraid we are going to need this today. We certainly needed it yesterday and I failed to bring it out.
  21. And of course, to twist the knife a little more, our old friend Trevor Richards comes in and finally throws an effective inning.
  22. Arcia - our most effective pitcher tonight. Only gave up one run.
  23. At least we are back to NFL football and we can claim we have a terrible offense but a great defense.
  24. The Twins wanted to play in the CFL and only want to score a rouge.
