    With all of the scuttlebutt about SWR being traded to the Blue Jays, we forgot to mention our old friend, Justin Topa, has also signed a contract with the Jays and as assigned to AAA-Buffalo.

    It also helps Apple TV as they had both of their scheduled games tonight starting at the same time. By delaying this one, they will be able to stagger them as the Cleveland/Texas game is already in the bottom of the 3rd.

    I think someone forgot to tell the radio guys to turn on the mic or MLB shut off the Twins radio feed. KC's feed still coming in.

    Yep. Lewis at 1st again tonight for the Saints.

    I think the point was that the bullpen chart needs to be updated for Morris throwing 48 pitches last night and will likely be out for the next 3-4 days. Thank you!

    I think it is important to note that they worked on his swing and mechanics in the box first. They are just now giving him some position work at 2B and 1B. He has exactly played 1 game at second and 1 game at first this week. He will need some more time to get used to the new position(s) before he is called back up to the majors. I can already picture the game thread roasting him on his poor defense when he can't make a scoop at first or when he misses a ball up the middle at second, regardless of whether he will hit like he currently is in St Paul.

    I'm not sure Cole Sands is the answer, but I have more faith in him than I do Lawrence. I hope Sands comes off the IL soon.

    Oh goodie. Our newest acquisition is coming into the game. I think he came under a false flag that he is masquerading as a pitcher who thinks the strike zone stretches to Minnetonka.

    Cory was having a conversation with Molly earlier in the game about this. Cory couldn't figure out how the math worked. Apparently, Cory never listened to Blyleven at all. This was all Blyleven would say in the 9th inning of games where the Twins needed to close the game out.

    I was hoping it was the police coming to arrest this defense (Clemens gets off on a technicality).

    I agree. I'm not sure anybody that has actually been fooled by the drop. I'm not sure I want MLB to do anything about it. I would like if coaches would just discourage its usage. Other than being bush league, it seems to be too much risk for the reward.

    I still have yet to read the story, but this would be an interesting development and probably says something about where the progress of Ober will be. Ober is making a claim that the baseballs are not being rubbed down enough, especially during a rainy game, such as his start in Boston. Ober has filed a formal complaint with MLB.     I wonder if the people at Kwik Trip that sponsor the triple's giveaway on the radio file an objection and say, "yeah, that doesn't count a triple when the outfielder kicks the ball away."

    Have you seen the team?!? I'm surprised he doesn't have a kegger in his office. Or at least a bottle of Jack 3/4 empty like Bob Uecker did in Major League.

    Still too many pitches for Paredes if he plans to get 4 innings in, but still effective. We are still in the game!

    Not expected for tonight's game. Expected to report to Toronto for their home series starting tomorrow with Baltimore. I can see him being an important piece stabilizing their starting rotation until more of their starters come back from injury.
