  1. Going back to taking out Paredes in that situation. It really was the right call. I believe Paredes' longest start by pitch count is only 65 pitches. He threw 59 pitches and was facing a good hitter, that just took him deep, with opposite handed splits. It was too bad that he couldn't qualify for the win, but it was still the better move to make.
  2. Paredes was thisclose to qualifying for the win. Now it's up to Rogers. Joc Peterson is Joey Gallo with a better press agent.
  3. Someone has to. Paredes made it through 3 innings his last start. He has already eclipsed that tonight. Every out he can give us saves a bullpen arm and keeps us from Lawrence being spun on the Bullpen Wheel of Regrets.
  4. Caserta almost walked himself into an on-air faux pas. Labeling the DP duo the K&K boys. Good thing he didn't include Kody Clemens at first in that statement.
  5. Fedko tried to borrow Vladdy Sr's pitching wedge for that AB.
  6. Just thought of something. The latest Duluth Trading commercial is advertising underwear for the "overworked butt". They should send some to Culpepper so he doesn't tweak his glute again.
  7. 40% of the way to qualify for the win. If Paredes gets through five innings, that will really save the bullpen.
  8. How is he going to build his Mega Church if Kreidler doesn't get some airtime to boost his club membership?
  9. Good job by Paredes to refocus after the challenge to get the strikeout. We have seen too many pitchers this season not able to refocus after an event like that happens.
  10. Looked out in live time, but definitely looked safe on replay.
  11. I see @Cody Christie took time off from development of his new favorite player on MLB The Show, which of course is named Cash Considerations, to finally locate the mysterious pitcher named TBD only to lose him again during the day.
  12. A few things to think about Bell. He has been heating up the last seven days. Also, today is June 15th. I heard this on Foul Territory last week the first date which a FA who signed in the offseason could be traded was June 15th. Since they signed him to a $7M contract, I foresee the only way Bell is leaving is through a trade. He will need to perform better in order to be traded which means he will need to be in the lineup. If you want Bell gone, the best thing you can do is hope for him to get hot for the next month that another team is willing to take a flyer on him. Now to the topic at hand, Fedko. I can see them playing Fedko more in CF than Kriedler when giving Buxton a day off. They need Kreidler to play more at SS as Gray has seemed to have fallen off, both offensively and defensively lately. Fedko likely hit the lottery in terms of opportunity. I think, under normal circumstances, this roster spot would have already been taken by one of Jenkins, Rodriguez, or Roden. Since they are both on the recovery train, he gets a shot prior to them coming back.
  13. Fedko. Fedko. He is not a pitcher. That means Lawrence will still be on the team when they travel to Texas. Now the question is who is getting sent down or out of town.
  14. I still like the challenge system. Gives an added suspense to the game. It also has substantially cut down on arguing balls and strikes with the ump. Aaron Boone still seems to be the only manager still silly enough to do that. My other reason is the way they are using ABS right now. It measures at the middle of the plate and is not 3D. Some of these really close calls likely are actual strikes, but since it didn't pass over the plate where it is being measured, it is called a ball. If they improve the technology to 3D, then I may change my mind and want full ABS.
  15. Let's hope that it's not a fly-by-night tent revival meeting.
  16. I think if it had been two outs, there would have been no question that he would have been running. The fact that it was one out and that ball hung up there longer than you would expect a line drive hit. The fielder wasn't much more than 10 feet from the ball when it hit the ground so he got to the ball fairly quickly.
  17. 1. Molitor 2. Perkins 3. Plouffe 4. Morneau 5. Span I'm not sure if there are any other regular color guys.
  18. Officially a quality start by Bradley. Now the bats need to wake up for him.
  19. Someone who was signed as a defensive whiz at shortstop. His agent must have taken a creative writing class.
  20. Great inning by Bradley! Exactly what he needs, a shut down inning after being given the lead.
  21. Live, that Caratini home run did not look that good with the way his body twisted around.
  22. Shake it off and get out of the inning. The offense has been getting to McGreevy, just hasn't pushed one across yet.
  23. The only 'new' uniform I like is the cream-colored Twin Cities uniform. Otherwise, they could go back to either the early uniforms or the 90's uniforms.
