  1. Find it interesting that in an absolute must-win, Cleveland sits the Naylor brothers.
  2. Am I alone in finding this Cleveland team extremely annoying?
  3. On Popkins and to an extent, Sonny Gray. The second half has been quite the reversal for the line-up. I was screaming for Popkins to be fired. Adjustments were made. Kudos to him. Similarly, Gray - I was all for trading him at the deadline and while he's still prone to implosions, he's been a bulldog for the Twins and pitched with very little run support. Wrong on both and I'm happy to admit it.
  4. Francona's going to run circles around Rocco and the Twins' line up will go MIA against Cleveland's pitching. Guardians likely to take 5 out of those 6 games.
  5. The scary part is this team still might not even win the division.
  6. Twins will be the cure for what ails them...
  7. Decent chance that the Rangers steamroll the Twins on Thursday and Friday so might as well trot Duran back out there and see if you can't steal a W here.
  8. Can't really put this on Julien - if it does indeed turn into an L. The lack of hustle is infuriating but so too were MAT's failed bunt attempts and the odds are significantly higher that if MAT did his job, this game would've indeed been over.
  9. It wasn't all that long ago when Jeffers was on fire...
  10. Stewart was really good but it was a little bit of fool's gold considering the injury concerns. There was zero excuse for not upgrading the pen. IYAM, it's worse now than it was in 2022 and that's hard to do.
  11. If, and it is a huge if, Keuchel continues to pitch well, then Kenta in the bullpen - presuming the Twins actually make the post-season, makes a lot of sense.
  12. I wouldn't say Kenta's a waste of a roster spot especially when you take a look at the Twins' bullpen. A couple of those guys - that's what a waste looks like.
  13. Have a feeling Kenta won't make it out of the third...
  14. Julien isn't the fleetest of foot so combine that with not hustling - ugh.
  15. Zero confidence in the Twins scoring more runs today. Prove me wrong.
  16. I'm taking it at face value, and based on that, sitting Wallner makes no sense. Is there more to it? Potentially. But Rocco hasn't come close to earning the benefit of the doubt either this year or really any other season. He leaves himself open to criticism. That's not a 'scandal'.
  17. I'm still pissed that Rocco pulled Ober last night. I'm sure it was discussed at length but I wasn't in the game thread yesterday and I need to vent.
  18. There's no reason to sit Wallner today against a righty. It's Rocco being Rocco.
  19. Rocco going with a Ouija board lineup. Typical.
  20. Two seasons in a row where the bullpen has been horrific.
  21. After Wallner's near miss, the game-ending double play seemed like it was bound to happen. Not Solano's best day.
  22. Yes, he's been underwhelming at the plate. But watching that guy play short-stop on a nightly basis - it's an absolute joy. No real point to this thread other than to find a positive among a lot of the doubts and criticism that have been sent C4's way this season.
