  1. The rotation isn't going to be what keeps the Twins' out of the post-season. It's the managing (or lack thereof) and the line up. Twins would be foolish, IYAM, to use trade assets for a starting pitching. This team desperately needs a legit middle-of-order bat at either 1B or LF / RF. I fully expect the front office to watch the deadline come and go, and the Pohlad's will love every second of it.
  2. Pablo needs to be an ace. If it wasn't for Thielbar, Rockies' offense would have sputtered again last night. If The Sheriff and Lou can do it, so can Pablo.
  3. Considering the opponent and the pitching change, this is by far one of the worst losses of the season.
  4. Issue is no accountability. You make a boneheaded play like that, sit for a game or two or even three. It keeps happening and happening.
  5. Pulls Varland too early. Stays with Sands too long. Make it stop.
  6. Building something good requires good ownership and a good front office. Twins have neither.
  7. Because this team wouldn't know fundamentals or smart baseball if it bit them in the ass...
  8. This is a Rocco and Popkins special tonight.
  9. These are games you can't piss away when you're as bad as the Twins are against good competition. Totally disgusted.
  10. And they're on track to be shut out for the 3rd time in 5 games. Sweeping changes need to be made in the dugout.
  11. It's just a bad baseball team or a poorly managed team, I should say.
  12. And yeah, he belongs in the pen. 1-2 innings. Twins have had success with Jax and Sands (sort of). SWR has shown that he has the much higher upside. I wouldn't keep stretching Varland out in hopes of his becoming something he's not - a reliable starting pitcher.
  13. What was the corresponding move to bring Varland back?
  14. Late to the party. Props to The Sheriff for going into the 7th. Royce Lewis making things fun. And Carlos Correa showing why he's worth every penny.
  15. Staumont has been solid this far. The Sheriff better be ready to give some innings tomorrow.
  16. Either the front office thinks the three headed monster hitting coach is doing it's job and the hitters are to blame, or... They think the problem isn't with the hitters but with the hitting coaches. Changes need to be made...
