Santana would've been a good pick up for a team like the Nationals or White Sox. No expectations and if he somehow catches lightening in a bottle, you have a lottery ticket to trade at the deadline. He should not be a starter or even platoon player on team that was supposedly hoping to contend.
Baseball's a crap shoot. Saw it last year with the Rangers. But if the Dodgers are healthy in October and they fail to win the WS, I wonder how many more opportunities Roberts gets...
Yeah, agreed on Lopez / Duran. Was only think of the hitters rather than the pitchers but they are marquee for sure. I think Correa, if healthy, fits the bill both at the plate and in the field.
Do the Twins really have any marquee players though? Royce Lewis and Carlos Correa are the only two, IMHO. Buxton is marquee in the field but average at the plate.
