Health, young guys taking a step forward, new owners that want to win. That’s what we Twins fans have to look forward to/hope for at the moment.
I do like this roster overall. I fear that 1B and RH corner bat will have to come from within.
He’s played 250 innings at 1B in the MLB. He can platoon with Miranda there. That shores up the first base situation. We still need a right handed corner bat. Maybe we could give Jo Adell a change of scenery?
I think Santana was an overpay and right now Grichuk is making zero dollars on his couch. Really don’t like Bader either, but was just throwing a right handed bat out there.
I feel like he found his role last year as a 1-2 inning middle relief or set up man. He struggled as a long reliever in 2023. Let’s let him get settled in the bullpen.
It just makes too much sense.
We need a first baseman, he plays first base. He’s a polar bear, it’s cold in Minnesota. We need a right handed power bat, he’s got one of those too. ⚾️🐻❄️
A boy can dream. Let’s make the team look good for the new owners.
Get rid of Paddack and Vazquez. Sign Alonso and McCann and it’s close to payroll neutral.
Maybe we get some new owners and can make some moves at the trade deadline. For now we have to let the kids play. I like Kiersey as the main CF back up, but it is a good idea for Martin to get more reps out there.
Twins have stuck by Larnach and last season was encouraging. Hate to see either of them go. Not much out there for RH corner bats in the scratch and dent aisle that the Twins are shopping in.
Agree with the catcher comment. If we trade Vázquez for anyone wed have to sign a suitable backup. Diaz and McCann are out there but would eat $2-5 mil of any payroll we’d dump.
I’ll start off by admitting that I’m a Gleeman and the Geek bobo. They, along with special guest Dan Hayes, do a great job breaking down the SD rumors.
