  1. Nobody has ever looked worse in a ball cap than Eduoard Julien
  2. Quad injury is the initial report on Lewis
  3. Kiriloff with a beard is going to be dangerous.
  4. you guys, this is my fault. I just typed in "Royce Lewis odds to win AL MVP".... I cursed us.
  5. Was he stealing before the pitch? I guess I didn't see that.
  6. Down by two, what the heck is he doing?
  7. Soft throwing left shredded us to pieces, then I thought Rocco, who loves to pinch hit, would let Julien hit when they brought in a reliever... nope. Getting dominated by mediocre pitching is the worst. I dont care when Strider shuts us down, but that guy? come on.
  8. You know we are all in trouble when Kepler actually does something productive and its a pleasant surprise. It kind of feels like the old NL days when a pitcher randomly cracks a double. Expectations are so low at this point, its laughable.
  9. jeffers trying to remove his elbow guard that doesnt exist is the best part of this game so far.
  10. I can't stand the K-zone or whatever its called not working. Forgot what it was like watching a game without it
  11. Not who I thought would be going to the IL today. Welp, at least Solano is DH'ing and not playing first.
  12. Awful take. "Most people don't love their job" doesn't apply to baseball. It's very hard to play this game at the highest level, over 162 games, day in and day out. And, unlike OUR boring jobs that require us to follow TwinsDaily religiously for a break, baseball is genuinely fun, and relatively easy to love. I don't have an opinion as to whether Max loves baseball or not, but I think it is necessary to love the sport to have a long successful career in the MLB.
  13. For the sake of humanity (and doggomanity), please continue to do so.
  14. A few things: 1.) Thank you officer, for your service and dedication to this community. 2). An absolute gem as far as explaining what kid gloves meant, who knew? You did. 3.) How did you know that?
  15. "looking like an Ambulance driver" lol... it certainly would be nice to know. I understand the reasons why medical evaluations and decisions are kept a little hush hush, but it sure would help me point the finger.
  16. You said it, man.
  17. Yeah it definitely does feel like we are out of the loop on the extent of his knee/hip issues. And I truly believe that he plays through pain almost every day. I just have such high expectations for the guy, and it kills me to see him not in the lineup. I just want 1991 Game 7 Jack Morris Mentality when TK tried to take him out. It's the "dont you F'en dare take me out of this game, because I am the guy."
  18. Oh no, us here in fandomville shall now and forever be allowed to act childish. That's what makes us so special. It's our Minnesotan fan deficiency that allows us to hope rather than expect. I too share your hope.
  19. Now we are being productive.
  20. Well the alternative is cutting off a live chicken head.
  21. I have felt at times that his at-bats in key situations this year have looked disjointed, and rightly or wrongly, I attribute some of that to a disconnection from game flow. It's not that he is not engaged, I know he is, I just think it's easier to be connected when you are focusing on defense for half of the time. It's hard to maintain focus in baseball, always, and playing defense helps break up the paralysis by analysis that only focusing on hitting can bring.
  22. Need a hit, definitely Solano. My thinking was we were down a few runs at the time, and need a 3-run blast, its always Buxton. I honestly don't know if it was best for the team to not have one of your superstars in the lineup, despite some of his struggles. I grew up idolizing guys like Ripken, Jeter, and Derrin Erstad. Guys who always believed they could help the team, whether they were banged up or not, and whether they were right or not. I just want to see that out of Buck... and maybe I'm expecting to much.
  23. Couldnt agree more. He doesn't need to be a 5 days in CF a week guy, but a couple days a week seems manageable.
  24. I can respect that. And as I said, I don't think it's a question of whether he is tough or not. Without a doubt, he has seam marks imprinted into his side, and is bruised as hell.
