  1. I already have, but I'm guessing the FO keeps him to the trade deadline.
  2. Hoping Gallo has some better AB's. Took two fat strikes, struck out on a ball down and away. I get that's what he is, but maybe I'm just getting tired of it.
  3. A clean Jax inning. That’s something.
  4. That what I hope it looks like eventually, although I don't know what happens when Polonco is back.
  5. And for the record I specifically do not want the Twins to move Lewis there yet. I'm fine with letting him be what he is for a little while and see what happens with the rest of the lineup. I wouldn't mind bracketing Buck between AK at 3 and Lewis at 5. AK seems to have some ability to get on base.
  6. Agree there aren't a lot of better options but we're a third the way through the season and seeing CC automatically inked in at 2 or 3 is brutal. I'm thinking maybe reducing expectations (temporarily) and/or sending some type of message that these things matter could help. I'd love to see him get back to what I think he is, but its just not happening yet in 2023.
  7. What would it take to get CC out of that 3 spot? Asking for a friend......
  8. Hoping maybe but not relying. Fair or not, he was rushed to majors and now a big part of his 2023 at AAA seems wiped out. I don't see a scenario where he's in position to take over CF in 2024.
  9. I wish I could be more optimistic about a reversal of fortunes but this team is built with these 3 true outcome types of hitters. It’s going to continue to be feast or famine, folks. Maybe a couple of more fundamentally sound guys (e.g. Lewis?) mixed in would help change the chemistry, but as it is we’re stuck with this mess. I hope the FO is happy; this fan is not.
  10. That’s definitely a “half full” take. I hope you’re right. My fear is that by the time the hitting decides to show up, this run of excellent starting pitching will dry up.
  11. Castro is for emergencies, not like some secret weapon to deploy. AK should be batting .
  12. Appreciate this analysis. Comforting that there are numbers that support my "gut feelings". Patience maybe paying off with Moran. De Leon looks the part to me, maybe as a lightning in a bottle guy this year? Willi fills a valuable role, especially with Gordon gone. I like that he has a different looking game than most of the regulars. Maybe our new Nick Punto.
  13. For all of the angst I've expressed here (and elsewhere) its a little surprising that I'm giving them a C. Going into the season, I assumed that both Twins and Cleveland would be neck and neck with better records so far. I believe in the talent, especially the younger guys, but I have serious reservations about the incessant line up tinkering and lack of continuity. Some of that is injury driven, but they're more or less where I expected them to be with health. The rotation is doing better than I expected, but I didn't see (or listen enough to the warnings here) how shallow the bullpen was. The batting is, well, underwhelming and disappointing
  14. Definitely looked like the White Sox out there
  15. Even in a game the Twins win by 6 runs, they're outhit. Weird.
  16. And he gave him a curve, and he hit it. I'm from the school that says "if he can't hit your heat, don't help him out with off speed".
  17. CBS says 105 on a Duran pitch. Is that legit?
  18. CBS says 104 on that second pitch from Duran
