  1. Well 8 guys didn't strike out - that's progress.
  2. As good as he is, I wouldn't want to see us part with any of our young assets to get Hader. We're not just simply a "Hader" away from being a top notch contender this year IMO.
  3. Again, I'm too depressed to go back and study the box scores, but it seems likes weeks since the Twins strung together two consecutive hits in an inning. I'm in my 60's and a lifelong Twins fan and I can't ever remember having this feeling. I know that the three true outcomes approach to baseball that is now endemic leads to this more often, but there just doesn't appear to be any changes in sight to the fact that each guy looks like he goes up there with zero situational awareness or ability to do anything beyond swing for the fences. Is that something that get fixed, or is that just the way the FO wants it? As previously pointed out, it makes for seriously boring baseball. And lose that vest and kids fishing pole. Its embarrassing.
  4. Back to back scoreless outings for Jax and Pagan. Some loud contact but scoreless. Hope that’s the start of a good run.
  5. Nope. It seems like weeks since the Twins have 2 consecutive hits in an inning.
  6. We’re on the cusp of having 2 consecutive hits.
  7. Oh Farmer. We need a better AB than that.
  8. That erratic strike zone does take the bat out of their hands a little. And what do they have against AK? Guy gets the worst calls.
  9. Forgetting the numbers for just a minute, I think this style of managing is really hard on the fans. Obviously with the money tied up in CC and Buck, they're going to be the marketing "face" of the franchise, and they are going to be accommodated in every way as far as opportunities. But IMO there's a number of guys we need to see play against <gasp> pitching from both sides, to know if they are the future of the franchise. This style of management ignores the need for players to have a role, understand a role, get into the flow, whatever. As a fan I'm just left wondering. I can't imagine what it feels like to be penciled in high in the batting order and get pinch hit for before your first AB.
  10. Thanks Rocco that explains everything to my satisfaction. I have no questions. Carry on with whatever you’re doing. It’s working great.
  11. And on top of everything, it’s just boring a** baseball to watch. People generally are sick of watching abysmal AB after abysmal AB.
  12. Positives - Ober hangs in there, Pagan and Jax do their jobs. Negatives - everything else.
  13. Look at these guys spoiling pitches, working counts. Wonder what Rocco is thinking?
  14. Way to protect the plate CC. Shouldn’t be guessing with 2 strikes. This is basic stuff.
  15. That 1-2 Jax pitch was a strike but he missed the catchers target so bad the ump punished him. I hate that.
  16. I want to be mad about that Castro AB but I’m just…….sad. Very sad.
  17. We’re getting Pagan’d but it won’t matter.
