  1. ..very true. .and Madden would desire more influence than Falvey would permit.
  2. Twins Skor North noted Joe Madden as a good choice. Falvey would not want an experienced manager. The Pohlads have always hired MLB managers (5 of them in about about 40 years) who never had previous experience in that role. It seems a bit strange...to me.
  3. Maybe changing the mascot would help. I vote for the UC Santa Cruz mascot, the Banana Slug....or maybe use a sloth.
  4. Interesting that Correa suddenly bumped up his BA a bit after his departure. I hate to compliment the FO, but it was a good salary dump. He is past his prime and not worth the money.
  5. SUPPORT...OK....CLOSER.????...SANDMAN..........CATCHING ZZZZZ
  6. Not sure....but I do believe that there is too much hype on Wallner. If he doesn't fix his hitting challenges, he may not make it through next season. Home runs are great but not when your BA hovers just above 200.
  7. LEYLAND will be 81 next year. I just commented on Maddon....if you want old school experience...well, Bob Lillis managed the Cardinals in the 1970's...he is 95 and might be interested ;)
  8. It should be noted that the Pohlad regime has never hired a person in this role who managed previously at the MLB level..Miller, Kelly, Gardy, Molitor, and Baldelli...first time for each one...
  9. ...and what about Twins bench coach and former SD manager Tingler....naahhh..never mind.
  10. I respect Joe M., but he will be 72 shortly. I worry that it might be a repeat of the Tony La Russa White Sox experiment.
  11. SONG BY THE KINGSMEN.......LOUIE LOUIE...IN MEMORIUM
  12. Wow...thanks....doubt it would have been close to that number if not for the July trades
  13. You know the staff is having a tough time coming up with topics when they find a need to write an article on a player who has an ERA of this nature. I am a bit curious if somebody could list the number of relievers who appeared for the Twins this year. It simply must be a team record. Am I correct?
  14. Funderburk had a 3.51 ERA and should get competition for the closer role next year. He also needs to complete a full year at this level. I guess he deserves honorable mention. Hopefully, he and Sands can improve. There is going to be competition during spring training. This "Revolving Reliever" tradition of claiming castoffs and letting them go has to stop. Finally....Joe rocked this year...hope he and Lopez are not given the " Pohlad Push" out the door to save $.
  15. ..he has done well in Philly after he left.....Sportwriters predict that he will double his 2025 salary next season
  16. Inspiration is on its way.....2026 season 🙌
  17. ????? Varland was traded for Rhoden and Rojas.....I was referring to the loss of a player....
  18. I still have to scratch my head at the influx of stolen bases during the 2nd half of the season. This rationale that it wasn't done earlier due to the slow players (e.g. France) being traded just doesn't pan out. Many of the players (believe a team record was tied or set) were in place the 1st half....just started to steal bases.
  19. I fully agree about Clemens, but would consider Martin if it was the last month or so of the season. Varland....still would be considered the WORST trade of 2025. If one looks back at Clemens....he hustled and put forth an effort at 1st base.
  20. Lee OR Lewis may not be around after next year if Culpepper works out in AAA. He can play 3rd or SS. Lee is somewhat flexible at these positions. I am unaware if Lewis can play SS.
  21. I am uncertain if this post was put forth simply to was up dander on fans. The owners and FO raised many of the challenges......but it was time for Roccomania to end. His decisions during games were frequently questionable. There is so much to support that point...it useless to analyze them at this point. He is being paid through 2026 and will land on his feet as a bench coach in my view.
