Well....he HAS been hitting...just don't see him catching straight until the 18th without a day off.. better get Gasper, Perada call up or Clemens ready..not sure if Vasquez will be back by then..
I don't like Gasper but feel Julian has no business at 1st base...has a hole in the glove....makes no difference about next year to me...Julien is not a great option. For the future...
I get it..you hate Gasper...Vasquez had emergency surgery. They claimed Peraralta off waivers...if not Gasper to replace Jeffers if hurt...I guess put in a brand new AAA player with a similar BA...
Vasquez is hurt...they just brought up a newbie who they recently claimed on waivers. .so. .who else can catch if Jeffers gets hurt..I guess Clemens could do it ...
Gasper is there as a backup catcher mainly. My viewpoint is for this game,today..Julien has a lower glove ability than Gasper at first. Neither will be around next year if the team has a chance at advancing.
I am a Buxton fan, but I seriously can't recall a Twin that has went been on the IL as much as he has over the years in addition to the manager resting him. He must be closing in on a record. I wish him a speedy recovery.
The reliever rotation is going to get a workout over the upcoming days due to this constant Roccoball (hey, I just coined a great word:) The team will not have a day off until the 18th. I have to get over it...but I still miss Varland. It may be time to raise the Taj Mahal from the Saints soon.
Clemens is probably the best bet...he is in the outfield...i do not disagree. But who is left? Julien at first is not the answer, he has less of a glove...France had his quirks, but he was decent at 1st.
I am really cheering for McCusker today. He was called up in May for 6 AB's. At 6'8" and 250 IBs ..he is a presence. He was a 26th round for the Brewers in 2017 out of a Folsom State College. One thing connected to this new wave for the Twins that I like is to watch somebody like Luke hit his first HR as he did the other day. McCusker can wack the ball...would be nice for him to have his first HR at the MLB level also.
