  1. Aging mediocre sluggers don't turn it around anymore, steroids are illegal now?
  2. All Star selections are purely popularity contests as are Gold Gloves. But yes, keep convincing yourself this was a good deal.
  3. Your point is literally the only thing I can find solace in at this point in the offseason. They win=great. They lose and front office and management is gone=great..
  4. If someone cherry picks stats they can even make Joey Gallo look like a good move.
  5. Gallo is proven? Proven what? He has career .199 average and strikes out about 30% of the time. The Twins also have guys like Wallner, Celestino, and even Nick Gordon who can play outfield.
  6. I would literally rather see any other outfielder in the system get the at bats than Joey Gallo.
  7. Umm 2nd best is a definite stretch. With the changes to the shift I would still consider Kepler to be better at this point.
  8. They needed a right handed bat that's better than Garlick so they sign another lefty who can't hit and strikes out at a high percentage. Makes perfect sense. Typical Twins move.
  9. Glad it's over, time to see what else is out there and move forward.
  10. I'm more interested in his ability to throw out runners with the rules adjustments to increase base-stealing.
  11. I'm planning to go to one of the opening weekend games in KC, hopefully the weather isn't too cold and miserable! At Kauffman I prefer to sit on the third base line behind the visitors dugout or behind the plate in one of the upper sections to get a good view.
  12. Would love to come but live too far away unfortunately. That pint glass is pretty cool though.
  13. The Twins are gonna end up with nothing. This offseason isn't going well at all.
  14. Honestly I can't see him signing anywhere besides Atlanta. But we will see.
  15. Correa is a franchise leader type of player, Swanson isn't. I really hope the Twins don't offer this guy $250+ million.
  16. And I absolutely agree with you. If anything the changes in the defensive positioning will help a guy like Arraez. With his bat control he will keep poking the ball through holes.
  17. No thanks. Terrible deal for the Twins.
  18. With Turner signing, I am guessing Correa signs in the next 48 hours.
  19. That would be a horrible trade but wouldn't be too surprising since the Twins current management aren't known for making smart moves at this point.
  20. The Twins would be nuts to trade Arraez, and for what it is worth, Arraez was a Gold Glove nominee this year so he was serviceable at first.
  21. It's kinda crazy to realize Polanco is the longest tenured infielder now on the Twins with Sano being gone.
