Gallo is proven? Proven what? He has career .199 average and strikes out about 30% of the time. The Twins also have guys like Wallner, Celestino, and even Nick Gordon who can play outfield.
They needed a right handed bat that's better than Garlick so they sign another lefty who can't hit and strikes out at a high percentage. Makes perfect sense. Typical Twins move.
