  1. Everything I've heard is Jeffers, Taylor, Farmer, and Gordon. Definitely doesn't make any sense but we will see if more comes out in the next 24 hours.
  2. That's the only thing that makes sense. I read this Tweet then the comments and you're right: https://twitter.com/tlschwerz/status/1628177028884070402 Also I wonder who gets dropped from the Opening Day lineup.
  3. Someone is gonna be moved to make room on the 40 man. I'm seeing a trade on the horizon.
  4. I can't imagine that all 6 starters they currently have will be without injury by the end of April so I think Maeda and Ober will both get a chance if they're not the ones on the IL. I hope I am wrong but Mahle worries me a lot and I think he is the first to go down.
  5. With his injury history if they can buy low I would be in favor.
  6. You speak truth here, this reminds me of 2021 when Toronto missed a Wild Card by 1 game, losing a game or games in April that were winnable can come back to bite a team in September/October in a close race. I'm not sure where the idea that early games are less important than late season games came from but it's absolutely false.
  7. Lopez has good stuff, I think he has a bounce back as a set up man and does well. People have to understand Lopez had some challenges with his personal situation that probably caused many of his struggles last season after the trade. Having an offseason with the team and building chemistry with the other Puerto Rican players will boost his confidence and I think we will see a bounce back season from him.
  8. If Pagan gets shelled in spring training, DFA.
  9. He is a Pennsylvania guy, maybe they can trade him to the Pirates. With his glorious 'stache he could become a cult hero there.
  10. If he makes it back to the MLB, I can't imagine it will be as a starter unless he develops another quality pitch besides the sinker. He seems like a legit nice guy so I wish him the best but yeah I will be surprised if he is on an MLB mound again.
  11. Any rule that allows a pitcher to throw a perfect game and still lose is awful.
  12. Yup. 3rd is his worst position statistically.
  13. I think Jorge Lopez bounces back and has a better season. I think the full off season with the Twins and being around other guys like Correa, Vazquez, and the other Puerto Ricans will help him feel more comfortable ad confident. On a side note his little son who has significant health problems just started playing on a basketball team. One of the nicest things I've seen in the off-season.
  14. I couldn't agree with you more. It wasn't his fault he had numerous concussions that forced his move to first base where he didn't produce at the same level. The guy is a role model on doing things the right way and the Twins were privileged that he played his entire career in Minnesota. I would much rather see a guy like Mauer in Cooperstown than guys who were as you put it, complete scumbags.
  15. Gordon's development last season was one of the few bright spots. I hope this season brings better base running and less outs on the basepaths.
  16. My wife is Puerto Rican and has lived in the USA since 2016, whenever she travels anywhere for work, and they ask her where she's from, her answer is Puerto Rico (but lives in Kansas). But yes, you're right about the quality of the team, I think their pitching is the only area where they may come intro trouble but hey have a team that can win the whole thing.
  17. All the homeruns didn't equal any postseason success. I would lean yes but it sure was fun to watch.
  18. Hopefully Miranda doesn't become an error machine at 3rd.
  19. There is also the cheating controversy that shadows him, we will see if anyone else involved e.g. Beltran and Altuve, get in.
  20. Celestino needs a full season in AAA to learn how to hit and play defense,
