  1. There we go again. We republican or republicratics are filled with insults. I thought I must have somehow made a spelling error. I guess not. It would be so much easier if I supported members of the d word and could say or do anything without my motives being questioned.
  2. Speculation is that Biden might run. If he does is it a bit of a free for all with two or three other credible candidates jumping in or does he coast to the nomination. I'm assuming he would never run if he and the Democrat party thought Hillary was going to somehow avoid all her problems. All the jokes about his GW Bush like verbal stumbles he would be a very difficult candidate to beat. As much as a female or minority makes sense for the Democrats the right option doesn't appear to be out there right now again assuming Hillary is damaged goods.
  3. I'm OK with challenging in that situation only if you've never failed to challenge a debatable call. Let your new pitcher wait around with a runner on 2nd nobody out, you've had this guy for 2 days you know how he handles pressure. Fire Paul molitor.
  4. I'm still not ready to rule her out as the Democrat nominee. It's just a matter of the non Bernie crowd panicking in the next month or 2.
  5. I've started to hear people call Trump Tea Party, I understand opponents of the tea party define it as everything but what it's really about, but this really is a joke. Trump in his brief campaign which he's done a good job avoiding discussing issues has already proposed increasing taxes, and while I might be OK with that as part of a complete package he has not and will not present a complete package, his history on tax and spend issues is to the left of GW Bush/McCain. The tea party was formed because of Bush and McCain, of course we disagree with Obama, but he's a Democrat and he won the election he gets to be a Democrat in office. As much as I don't care if Trump destroys the Republican party this idea that people will use him to try to destroy the tea party is disgusting. If the Tea Party is going to fail it better not be because some would be Democrat destroyed it.
  6. His crime was that the lion had a name. If the money of guys like this aren't available to help that economy guess what the locals will do for food.
  7. He still has a little time to make that decision, but the post McCain polls are out and Trump's lead is actually increasing. Because Trump wants to win, and full ballot access for third parties takes time that at this point we probably no longer have (probably could still get around 48 states) I can't imagine he doesn't see the Republican run through. It's possible some fringe group would get him access in 20 or 30 states but with limited ballot access I think he finishes more in the Nader range then Perot. While I see a possibility of Trump get the nominee (Bush and/or Walker mistakenly dropping out to early) my bigger question is does he have the power to be, and embrace the role of king maker, and if so for who?
  8. The thing is if you knew March 31st how good we would be pitching you would have predicted this was a playoff team. Maybe you want to give Molitor credit for that, but I really don't think he did anything other then agree with the GM's choice for pitching coach.
  9. By the way Molitor was arguing to put that call in the hands of a 1st base ump who thanks to replay won't be held accountable for a pathetic job on the only 2 calls he was needed for all night.
  10. It doesn't help that Molitor made sure his pitchers got squeezed the rest of the night. If you think Perkins is the same pitcher with a 10% smaller strikezone fine it's all Perkins fault. Hicks swung Nelson saw it, Nelson made the call, no argument was going to change the fact that on a ball 4 pitch the batter gave away a run and a out.
  11. That loss is 100% on Molitor. You don't show up a home plate ump when he clearly got the call right, you especially don't show up an ump when the ump knows your to much of a coward to ever challenge a close call. You wish Jeff Nelson forgot that pathetic display by Molitor but we didn't get a close ball and strike call the rest of the night. If I'm the GM I fire Molitor, I'm not the GM.
  12. I don't think that was the wrong call although it appeared the ball went in and out of his glove before Nunez ran through him.
  13. We'll have a few more losing streaks before the year is done, and hopefully this stops at 2, but games like these are why you challenge any big call in extra innings even when your confident it won't be reversed.
  14. Never challenge anything, unless of course it's a losable challenge in the first inning. I don't care if there was only 0.1% chance of winning the challenge you challenge in that situation 1000 times out of 1000 because you will win it once. Knowing when to challenge calls is a big part of a managers job, and I'd be shocked if Molitor isn't the worst in baseball.
  15. 4 game wild card lead, plus we lead 2 division winners.
  16. I was very confident this was a playoff team going into spring training, a little less as spring training sent along and was just hoping for .500 after Santana's suspension. This is a solid roster the last 4 years made us realist, but this team was worthy of expectations to at worst stay in the wild card race through July.
  17. Royal fans would be chanting mvp after that sac fly
  18. Smell em its happening Homer hankey
  19. Triples are better then homerun when the next batter does that.
  20. . Was very confident you jinxed him, guess not.
  21. I'm at the point where I'd rather have Mike tice in charge of challenges.
  22. Jones was already a reserve, now starting for Gordon.
  23. If Alex Gordon is out I have to assume doizer is a sure thing with or without the vote.
  24. Considering the twins just need bullpen help assuming sano continues to fill the dh spot you would have to think low level prospects or maybe pinto could do the trick. I wouldn't consider buying a game 1 starter unless the wild card lead grew to at least 4 games but as much as the future should bring great things we have a great shot to make some noise this year.
