  1. Is 3 ok? We have a bunch of guys who could give up 3 in an inning, no problem.
  2. I'm sure he wants to be playing better, but wanting it and doing it are not the same thing. His performance on the field is clearly showing he is not trying to change his approach. That is on him or its on him AND on the coaches. If the coaches are telling him to make changes and he is not willing to, that is 100% his fault. If the coaches aren't doing anything and he's continuing to approach his at bats the same way thats still his fault for not making the effort to change his approach. Regardless, 50-100% of the blame is on him and the eye test isn't showing him making even the slightest attempt to change his approach. The double standards are ridiculous here for veterans vs rookies. If he was Sano or Rosario or Arcia or Buxton, he would've been in the minors 3 weeks ago.
  3. Berrios for Duensing trade incoming. Or maybe some sort of 3 team trade, Berrios for Duensing and Butera.
  4. Ah yes, the ol' 'don't change anything until it fixes itself' approach. Since day 1 of the season, every time he comes to plate he's trying the exact same thing and it isn't working. Either he isn't smart, he doesn't care, or he's simply a bad player. None of these is acceptable. If he was anyone else not named Joe Mauer or Trevor Plouffe, he would've been sent down to triple A weeks ago, or at the very least moved to the bottom of the batting order.

  6. Brian Dozier: "it's a mere flesh wound. I feel great."
  7. Not only would it be idiotic to trade Sano, it'd be even more idiotic to think TR would manage to come out on top in that trade.
  8. Terry Ryan says: http://66.media.tumblr.com/3b50910a6c6468c528611b49fd91e03c/tumblr_inline_nykpe7JbeL1t507a3_500.gif
  9. This FO is a joke. The players clearly aren't listening to anything the coaches are saying. The GM refuses to acknowledge this is largely his fault and is so damn delusional that he thinks this team can still turn it around. The manager is hurting, not helping, our supposed prospects of the future. Our locker room culture appears to be terrible. Players barely seem to give a **** about their awful performance. Everyone in the organization is just shuffling the blame around but no one is doing a thing about it. I can't imagine any other professional sports team would continue to give a free pass to Terry Ryan and the FO he has assembled. I love baseball and I love the Twins but we're starting to get to the point where if Terry Ryan and the current FO aren't entirely gone in the very near future, it's going to be very difficult to even support this team in the least. I can't support a bunch of confused old men ruining my favorite team and mismanaging every single prospect we have.
  10. Have driven through Nebraska multiple times. Can confirm there is 0 reason to stop.
  11. Someone should spike Dick and Bert's drinks with some vodka or something, because I'm pretty sure they're just a little bit of liquid courage away from having a complete on air breakdown....and I want to hear it.
  12. Wow, that was a great catch. Can't even be mad about that.
  13. Yes, he does. It's a free world. And I have every right to complain about him being completely worthless and still having a spot in our rotation. Edit: and if you're a professional pitcher and trying to hit a player, you really shouldn't be missing twice....
  14. Honestly, when you're getting paid millions of dollars to essentially throw batting practice, I don't think you have any right to be upset that players are able to embarrass you. I think it'd be much more fitting if Hughes came to the plate and we all had a chance to plunk him. I'd bet some of us could actually manage to hit him on two pitches too!
  15. Cuz he's a baby and is upset that he's terrible?
  16. Man, Hughes sucks so bad he can't even manage to hit him.
  17. Yes. And we should also probably blame the coaching staff that the players apparently don't listen to at all. Or the coaching staff that isn't trying to fix these issues at all. Either way. I'd wager that Perkins is cooked and as long as he's the "elite" guy in our pen, our pen is going to continue to be trash.
  18. Is anyone actually coaching this team or do they just show up for the post game, consolation Dilly Bar?
  19. I think I found a gif of the most recent meeting between TR and Molitor http://gif-finder.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/George-Costanza-Its-not-a-lie.gif
  20. Dozier at DH AND leadoff makes me want to punch someone. That someone's last name may or may not rhyme with Smolitor.
  21. Wow. That lineup... There have gotta be minor league lineups more daunting than that.
  22. I'll trade you one Trevor Plouffe for six Brian Duensings.
  23. Ah, the ol' Twin's pitchers' anthem: Take me out of the ballgame, take me out to the bar. Buy me some whiskey and cracker jacks, I don't think that we'll ever come back. So it's root, root, root for a rain out If we don't play we can't lose! So it's 1, 2 or 3 o'clock and we lost the game!
  24. Can we just send our entire pitching staff besides Berrios to the minors?
  25. Anyone who thinks Rob Antony would be a good GM must have lost their mind entirely from watching this team play. Or they're part of the good ol' boys club and afraid of losing their press pass.
