    I am hoping for a Kyle Gibson trade. He is so frustrating to watch pitch. I had hopes for him developing into a good pitcher, but he just looks like your run of the mill #5 sinkerballer.

    Ok that makes sense. It is something to wonder about how he would have pitched if he had started the season with the Twins. Only missing a few weeks might end up being what's the best for him.

    Well they were decent numbers. A 1.72 ERA in 15.2 innings.

    With performances like Sunday's, I think Duffey would stay and Hughes or Nolasco would be bumped to the bullpen when Gibson comes back.

    Mastro coming up makes no sense to me, unless the Twins are sending Eddie Rosario down I guess.

    Mike Berardino tweeted that Jaun Centeno has been called up.

    Duffey and Berrios should stay in the rotation if they pitch well. Gibson would probably replace Phil Hughes.

    I've seen Centeno and Kintzler mentioned. I like Centeno for Murphy, but I would much rather see JT Chargois than Kintzler.

    I'm fine with them wanting to keep Hughes at the time, but the unnecessary contract extension is the bigger mistake in my opinion.

    They're just pushing everyone back because of Ervin Santana. Berrios will start on Monday.

    The inherited runners stat can be flukey. Also, 6.3 H/9. That's pretty good. It's not like we're expecting Tonkin to become a setup man or anything like that. He's a middle reliever who has shown pretty good control throughout the minors, and he can strike guys out. I'm encouraged by his season so far.

    I was just going to comment on that. A 1.26 ERA with 10 K/9 right now. I was really down on him towards the beginning of spring training, but he's looked pretty good so far.

    He didn't seem like a very likeable guy from the interviews that I saw from him, including the B10 championship game ceremony. I still have no idea how he got MVP of that game by the way.

    I'd assume there is very little chance that any team would claim Vargas. A DH only player needs to be a better hitter than Vargas is to be kept on a 40 man roster.

    It's already down to .744 unfortunately.

    Pat Dean is the obvious choice, and hopefully JT Chargois keeps pitching well and gets some time with the Twins sometime this year. Also, Kennys Vargas just isn't a good enough hitter to be a DH and be kept on the 40 man.

    To be fair, Nolasco probably deserves some more starts after his decent performance so far. He's a hanging curveball away from having a really good start to the season.
