  1. Everything is coming together in the rotation. Hopefully the three young guys (kinda young in Meyer's case) pitch well and force some decisions when Gibson and Santana are healthy.
  2. Santana Dozier Mauer Sano - RF Park - DH Arcia Nunez Escobar Suzuki Another day for Jorge Polanco to sit on the bench.
  3. That's all true, and I probably get caught up in strikeout numbers a little too much, but Darnell is averaging 2.4 K/9 this year... I don't think that's going to work, especially if we're thinking about how he would perform in the MLB if he gets another chance.
  4. How do you throw a shutout in the minor leagues without recording a strikeout? Also, 10 hits in 4.1 innings for Tyler Jay, with 0 strikeouts. I was not expecting Jay to be off to such a rough start.
  5. No, actually Drew Butera netted Miguel Sulbaran, who netted Eduardo Nunez, so another pretty good trade.
  6. What is the correct pronunciation of Berrios? Is it bur-rios or berry-os? I've heard it both ways and was just wondering if anyone knew which it is.
  7. I'm not upset at all to see Gibson go on the DL. I'll take a Jose Berrios for Kyle Gibson sway all day long.
  8. I'm sure those offensive numbers would look better if Kepler and Polanco had spent the whole season in the minors, but without them, yikes. Basically just Wade and Gordon are having good years so far. The best part of this leaderboard is probably Kohl Stewart leading the org. with 10.9 K/9. Let's hope he can keep that up.
  9. Wow these offenses are really struggling. I don't think I've read one of these articles where at least 2 of the affiliates are scoring 1 or 2 runs, but I guess that's what happens when most of the top prospects are either playing or sitting on the bench for the Twins. Good pitching for the most part though, especially Felix Jorge, and the rest of that Miracle staff.
  10. In regards to Berrios' strong start, Roy Smalley just tweeted that he's a firm believer in forcing a promotion by dominating AAA before being called up. He said maybe by June.... Really?
  11. I'm about done hoping Gibson will ever be more than mediocre. He is so frustrating...
  12. It should be noted that the batting titles and MVP gives Mauer a huge boost over the guys you listed.
  13. A nice matchup of some sorry offenses here tonight. First team to 1 probably gets the W.
  14. Well doesn't one of Rosario, Park, Kepler, or Buxton need to be sent down so they can play every day?
  15. Good to see a nice season debut by Tyler Jay. I can see him putting up some really good numbers in the FSL this year.
  16. Jermaine Palacios bats 9th in the Kernels order? Not really a big deal or anything, just not what I expected.
  17. Did anyone know who Reymond Fuentes was before this season?
  18. Hopefully the adjustment works, but I'm beginning to wonder if Perk is ever going to get a chance to protect a lead this season...
  19. Tonight reminded me how frustrating it can be to watch Gibson pitch.
  20. I think I'd switch Detroit and KC in the Central. They might have one more really good year left in them before they start their decline phase.
  21. A first baseman who hits 20 or less HRs is going to have a tough time winning the MVP.
  22. I hope you're right, as I really enjoy watching Rosario play. He had a really nice spring, and hopefully he can carry that right on into the regular season.
  23. Quentin isn't really an outfielder anymore though, so I hope that promotion would go to Max Kepler instead.
  24. I've seen two posts predicting Dan Runzler making the team, and I'm not sure why. He had a 5.26 ERA in about 37 innings at AAA (PCL, but still) with almost 7 BB/9 last year. He's also only got 2 Ks in 8 innings this spring.
  25. I think Abad, Centeno, and Runzler would all have to be added to the 40-man, and it's at 39 right now. I would guess they just go with Tonkin for the last bullpen spot. Centeno is probably behind John Hicks on the depth chart too.
