  1. Keith Law wrote that Chargois struggled, and he has an "ugly short-arm delivery." http://espn.go.com/blog/keith-law/insider/post?id=5333
  2. Eduardo Nunez has the same Fangraphs WAR as Edwin Encarnacion and Miguel Cabrera. He's an All Star because he's been really good.
  3. He's had a pretty good year coming back from Tommy John surgery, with a 2.35 ERA and 9.4 K/9 and a low BB rate. Looks like he should get an opportunity to pitch with the Twins in September.
  4. Just looking at Luis Arraez's stats, they're very encouraging, except for one. He's got 0 stolen bases on the year. What does this say about his speed and athleticism?
  5. Why would you consider adding Wimmers and dropping Tonkin? Tonkin has an 11.2 K/9 this year and he had a 2.65 ERA with a 9.7 K/9 in his time at AAA. Wimmers has a K/9 around 7 and an ERA around 4 in AAA.
  6. Wimmers has a 4.35 ERA with 7.3 K/9 this year between AA and AAA, and he's 27 years old. His draft position is basically the only reason he'd be added and called up this year.
  7. Byung Ho Park went 0-4 with 3 K's. And against a starter with an ERA around 7.
  8. Those Joe Mauer stats just make me sad.
  9. I'm really interested in Granite too. He's hitting .302 with 32 stolen bases now. He looks like a possible 4th OFer type of guy.
  10. Maybe? That probably the most pessimistic projection for Sano that I've read.
  11. I was hoping it was 3B only now, especially when he started his first few games there.
  12. I'd also consider this year a success so far. In repeating Ft. Myers, he lowered his ERA from 3.20 to 2.61, and probably the more important part is increasing his K/9 from 4.9 to 7.7. It is also interesting how we consider Stewart as maybe not living up to expectations even though he was a 2 sport guy out of high school, and he's got a 2.93 ERA in his minor league career.
  13. Eddie Rosario is in a little cold spell too. He's 0-18 in his last 4 games.
  14. I guess the good news is that he committed an error out there. But yeah, it's just completely ridiculous that they're continuing to entertain the idea of Sano in RF.
  15. Also, during the game on Saturday, Terry Ryan mentioned Trevor May along with Ryan Pressly as guys who he liked when he was asked something about the bullpen.
  16. Aaron Hicks has a .609 OPS for the season. I don't think "fleeced" is the right word.
  17. I absolutely do not want to trade Byron Buxton, but if they did, I would expect/want nothing less than a Chris Archer/Steven Matz type of return.
  18. Vargas is hitting .234 with a .776 OPS in AAA this year, so not much to be excited about. I'd rather bring Polanco up, send Park down, and then rotate the DH spot.
  19. With Harrison, the walks are nice, but the hitting ability, power, and fielding are not. I think his draft position is the only reason he still gets ranked on Twins prospect lists.
  20. Playing time over who? If Buxton hits even a little bit, he's playing. Kepler is playing and Grossman is playing.
  21. Kepler, Buxton, and Grossman should be playing basically every day now.
  22. So Trevor Plouffe is going to be benched immediately when Sano comes back? Or is he going to be traded? I'm not very optimistic that either of those will happen anytime soon.
  23. Well he only started 2 of the 3. I highly doubt he'll continue seeing that much playing time.
  24. Sano should be back soon and taking up the DH spot. Rotating the 3 outfielders doesn't solve much because Buxton and Kepler should be playing every single game and Grossman has been the team's best hitter for a month.
  25. There's no way Arcia should be playing over Kepler, Buxton, and even Grossman right now. Miguel Sano is going to be coming back to take up the DH spot soon too. That is focusing on young players. And Danny Santana is going to be playing probably once, maybe twice, a week.
