  1. Twins outfielder Ben Revere appears to be in play, despite the team trading Denard Span to the Nationals six days ago. Revere, 24, hit .294/.333/.342 in 553 plate appearances for the Twins this year, stealing 40 bags in 49 tries. With just one year and 149 days of Major League service, Revere will not be arbitration eligible until 2014 at the earliest, and is under team control through 2017. The latest: Revere may be the Phillies' top choice for center field, tweets Danny Knobler of CBS Sports. The Phillies might be able to accommodate the Twins' need for starting pitching. Phillies executives Ruben Amaro Jr. and Pat Gillick met separately with Twins GM Terry Ryan this morning, tweets MLB.com's Todd Zolecki. The Braves are interested and have spoken to the Twins about Revere, tweets David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
  2. Nobody knows Snark on here. Only KLAW Does!
  3. Couldnt have said it better Puck. Sometimes spending that little bit of extra money is absolutely worth it.
  4. / it would be quite nice if the braves were to offer a nice pitcher for Revere but.....its not likely to happen.
  5. Baseball seems to be centerfielder-crazy right now. Ryan is right to take advantage of that. Baseball is CF crazy right now! Ryan should definitely see whats out there on this crazy market. Some guy in a thread the other day tried to tell me there is no value in CFs.....Has he seen the crazy contracts lately for a CF?
  6. #5's would be a lot better than the #10's we have now. Hahah well 2 fives is as good as a 10
  7. perkins and hicks for elsburry kepler, low level prospect and casey fine for lester Deal? Probably a deal there.
  8. I think your right, Willinghams contract is a fricken steal. Im sure the Twins are throwing his name out there and seeing what they can get in return for him.
  9. I dont think they would. That would be selling awfully low. I think they might trade those guys....just not this offseason, and give them time to rebound after down years last year and trade them at the trade deadline.
  10. My my is Baker's deal looking better by the day. Thats only if he can rebound this year....
  11. Definitely Bullets Dodged. 2 crappy pitchers. We dont need more #5's.
  12. As much as I would like this trade....I dont think the Red Sox would do it.
  13. 2 year 15 million dollar contact.....Thats the latest update. OVERPAID.
  14. Blanton has a proven track record of being a #5 pitcher and that's all he will ever be. What could you possibly flip him at the deadline fore?
  15. [h=1]Angels Close To Signing Joe Blanton[/h] By Tim Dierkes [December 5 at 6:30pm CST] The Angels are close to signing starter Joe Blanton to a one-year deal, according to tweets from Joe McDonnell of FOX Sports and Mike DiGiovanna of the L.A. Times. Blanton, 31, posted a 4.71 ERA, 7.8 K/9, 1.6 BB/9, 1.37 HR/9, and 44.6% groundball rate in 191 innings for the Phillies and Dodgers this year. The near-signing raises the question as to whether the Angels' rotation is set, with Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson, Tommy Hanson, Blanton, and Garrett Richards, and without Zack Greinke. Happy about this. I did not want him in a Twins Uni.
  16. Very weird 2012 for Pelfrey - judging by his game log. His third game he went 8 innings, 1ER, against the Giants, going just above 100 pitches so you'd think all was well. Five days later, TJ. It is weird, but im not to interested in Pelfrey, I wonder when he would be able to come back this season?
  17. Hicks and Morneau.....HELL NO
  18. Just an FYI Twins are reportedly interested in a recent inductee into the tommy john club Mike Pelfrey....
  19. Oh man, I dont know about trading Kepler. Scouts are raving about him, and I like him alot.
  20. me either...thanks SweetOne!
  21. Exactly lots of talent coming through there this year. The Twins seem Pretty high on Mauer's ability to manage.
  22. Your right about that. We need to go after Marcum, McCarthy and maybe Dempster. Twins will probably need to overpay for those guys though as Minnesota is not the hottest destination right now.
  23. i dont think he will either. Maybe he can fetch a solid #4, but thats not what we need, But if we trade Morneau then we dont have to worry about Parmelee roaming RF. Who knows if the Twins are all that interested in trading Revere, especially with that team friendly contract of his.
