  1. You are 100% Correct, Gardy should be held accountable for most of it. Anderson with all honesty hasnt had much to work with pitching wise, but he should be canned as well.
  2. I do believe Gardy is on thin ice going into next season. All those coaches contracts expired. Gardy and Anderson have one year left. I have to believe if TR goes out and gets two decent pitchers and nothing changes next year both will be gone. Im really excited about Bruno coming up, Parmelee and Plouffe played well for him, and maybe he can get Morneau and Mauer to hit a couple more over the fence. Exciting first day for the Twins offseason. Hopefully theres some more moves coming (player wise).
  3. With Bruno as our hitting coach this lineup will have "BOP" in it next year. He worked extremely well with Parmelee and Plouffe, great move. I wish we could and hope we will get Rick Anderson out of here.

  6. I could see Boston throwing way too much money at him for him to ignore, but the last guy they signed for big money from the Angels exploded on them, so there could be a worry. If I'm Haren's agent, and he is let go by the Angels, I find the NL team who would give him a one year, $10-15M deal to regain his value, then hit the market for one last "big" contract at 33. Boston will probably throw at him a 3 year 30+ million dollar deal. He would more than likely have a bloated ERA in the AL EAST, so if he is smart he would go somewhere else.
  7. I like your thinking. Unfortunately, I dont believe its going to happen.
  8. Why would we want a guy who cant win with a GINORMOUS payroll? Gardy is a good manager, but eventually its just time for a change, there are many other candidates that i would prefer if Gardy gets the ax.
  9. Deduno is Dedone.....I completely agree with your thoughts. His ERA is starting to sky rocket (todays game sure helped that). I think if he hasnt found it yet, he never will. He was a flash in the pan, it worked for a bit, but we could not expect him to continue his "effectively wild success". To have a guy with a 4.5 ERA be the second best in the rotation is terrible. He is 29, he is not like Hendriks who still has time to figure it out. If we dont do something, its going to be a long year next year once again.
  10. After watching the game today....NO THANK YOU...nice flash in the pan now get him out of here
  11. Probably because Gardy gave Blackburn the nickname of Groundy and it just stuck. But seriously, thanks for the input guys.
  12. That is a valid point, but even when Blackburn was at his peak he did not come close to being as effective as Diamond is right now. I believe Diamond can be a valid number three, four at the lowest. The stuff is there, he has posted numbers like this at almost every level he has played at. But if people want to discredit that he can continue the success he is having now, like they did with Revere, so be it.
  13. Here is the a little piece from Keith Laws latest chat. What are your thoughts on Scott Diamond? If Trout wasn't such a showoff, he'd be in the ROY discussion. Can he have long term success as a #3 type starter who induces a lot of ground balls? [h=6]Klaw (1:50 PM) [/h] Fifth starter, if that. I respect Keith Laws opinion on most things, but this one is dead wrong.

  15. The time is now to trade the Hammer, he will never have a better year then the one he is currently having now. I dont see anything wrong with Revere, Span and Parmalee roaming the outfield. We need pitching.
  16. Exactly right. Twins have just lack motivation after the break. You think some of these guys would try to play their tails off to show they belong on the team next year, but they know Gardy is a pushover, and no matter who you are Gardy will always give you 6-7 chance to prove your worth (Casilla). There definitely needs to be a culture change around the clubhouse.
  17. Jake Arrieta – RHP, Zach Britton – LHP, Brian Matusz – LHP, Chris Tillman – RHP I would take anyone of these young pitchers, but....Rick Anderson will not be able to help these guys much....
  18. World Series? Ha how about the first round of the playoffs Gardy
  19. Ha he is like Willie Mays Hayes mixed in with a little bit of Pedro Cerrano. I wonder if he has that little statue in his locker as well.....
