  1. I hope they can get Holland, but lets be realistic the Rangers have a good front office and its going to be a hefty price for him. I dont mind getting Saunders or Blanton but as the 3rd option and getting two guys who are better than them...McCarthy or Marcum please.
  2. As much as i like Revere i think youre right. We need pitching prospects and I think Revere can get us something a little lower than Alex Meyer. Im excited for what Hicks can become, let him go through some growing pains in 2013 in the Majors, and hopefully he can become pretty darn good in 2014
  3. Money money money....money! Exactly right....F@#! Boras
  4. No....Gosh I hope not.
  5. I like Revere but that is a big if.....
  6. Not even close to enough "eaten" 10 mil for one year of a guy who has pitched like 117 IP in the past two season is to much. Especially if you are giving up a legit prospect in Benson. Benson is no longer a "legit" prospect. We would be lucky to get Johan for him. Exactly im still trying to figure out why Bensons name is still over boards on this website. The guy is a bust. He likely will not be a major league ball player and if he is....4th OF at best.
  7. Nope I agree with Puck...nope
  8. well if you think about it he got more money than Jamey Carrol did last year and he is a better ballplayer so is it really crazy money?
  9. By Luke Adams [December 5 at 12:23pm CST] Keppingir will sign a three-year deal with the White Sox, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com (via Twitter). Nice move by the sox, I just wonder how much money he is getting over 3 years.
  10. they have teh internets in dallas and la too, y'know. ^^^ buzzkill
  11. The only way this team has a future is to rebuild the farm system and get solid pitchers.
  12. Exactly I like them both and still believe Arrietta can be a solid starting pitcher if he can get out of the AL East.
  13. Yeap I heard Cristian Guzman is available he is super fast! How about Luis Rivas? My point is you dont have to be super fast to play middle infield. Unfortunately there's no sarcasm font. I doubt snepp was actually saying that Hardy is too slow to be a good shortstop, but rather the Twins seem to prefer small-ish, light-hitting guys in the middle infield for some reason. I think this was one of the reasons Hardy didn't work out in MN. Hardy didnt work because he was hurt all year and barely did squat. A lot of people thought he should be booted out of town, on top of that The Amazing Bill Smith Signed Nishi, so the Twins never really gave Hardy a chance.
  14. Yeap like it continues to be said we will continue to hear the Twins are incquiring about every pitcher out in the market until Grienke signs his deal.
  15. John i definitely think the Twins are looking beyond 2013. I think TR is realistic in the Twins ability to compete this year. Im having trouble wrapping my head around who the Twins could receive for Justin Morneau. Matusz? Tillman? Maybe we could get a prospect with better upside if we eat a couple million of Morneaus contract.
  16. Im pretty sure Nolan Ryan knowns Derek Holland isnt an ACE. Maybe he thinks he is a low end #2. His stats definitely indicate he is not an ace. Just like the poster above, I think getting him out of Texas would be great for him.
  17. I think your right Jim, Morneau and Revere should get it done.
  18. With the Rangers believed to be very much involved in the Zack Greinke sweepstakes, Texas is a candidate to add a big-name starter this week, in which case the team may look to trade one of its in-house options. As such, rival teams are calling to inquire about the availability of left-hander Derek Holland, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports (via Twitter). The Brewers, Twins, and Royals are among the clubs that have been in touch with the Rangers about Holland, says Morosi. What do you guys think it would take to get Derek Holland?
  19. The Twins are reportedly throwing his name out their. The Twins appear to be calling around to gauge trade interest in former MVP Justin Morneau, according to Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com (via Twitter).
  20. Yeap I heard Cristian Guzman is available he is super fast! How about Luis Rivas? My point is you dont have to be super fast to play middle infield.
  21. Maybe take Swarzak out of their and add someone with a bit more upside than a AAA pitcher and you probably have a deal.
  22. This is just ridiculous. I hope this is wrong. We cant win with a staff anchored down by Joe Saunders......Just hearing Liriano's name makes my head about to explode. This is just ridiculous, if the Twins Sign Liriano im giving up all hope on the Twins.
  23. The Rays? Its tough trading with the Rays though, they have a great front office and they usually know what the hell theyre doing when it comes to trades. Most likely candidates would probably Braves and Reds. Maybe there is a wild card team out there who would like Revere.
  24. Everything free agent is a gamble basically, I wouldnt say Marcum is the Center piece to a rotation. In my mind hes a number 3 pitcher. I would love to have him, but he will probably get more than he is worth, im sure the Twins wont spend somewhere around 20 million for 2 years on a guy like Marcum.
