  1. Considering our farm system was one of the worst ranked a couple year back it doesnt look to bad at all.
  2. You have to believe so. Willingham is likely at his peak in terms of value and Morneau might not be, but if we are building for 2014/15 you have to believe we will be hear a bunch of rumors/ posts on this website of possible destinations.
  3. Love this move. We really did need to add to our pitching prospects due to the fact have 1 or 2 legit pitching prospects right now. I believe this is TR saying we are going to win this year, but we are building to have a good team in 2014/15. A guy who pitches in the high 90s? Get out of town? Crazy they didnt get a guy who throws a 90mph FB and has an average change up and a curve.
  4. Wouldnt mind taking Ian Desmond or Danny Espinoza along with Tyler Clippard. Or getting Drew Storen. But we need a SP. So how about Span and one of our B level Prospects for Jordan Zimmerman?
  5. This stuff needs to stop. If we sign Pavano or Liriano every twins fan should take that as a slap in the face and give them no support this year.
  6. And congrats to Neshek he pitched well last year!
  7. I love Morneau, but they need to find a spot for Parmelee like now. We cant continue to hinder his development in the major leagues and we need to find out if he can actually play (which I think he can).
  8. Im so sick of hearing about Liriano, and i say again....i dont want to hear his dam name unless he is imploding for some other team (which he will be).
  9. Hmm if your talking about a couple million here or there for bottom of the barrel pitchers, then yes they are in salary spend mode.
  10. Good insight, always nice to read articles like this.
  11. Because there is no way the Twins will shell out the money in order to get that true ACE!
  12. They're made for each other.
  13. It's amazing to me how you can forget how utterly useless he has been in between his brief bouts with "brilliance" over the last 3 years. His legitimate talent is in far too short supply. His lack of confidence outweighs his talent. Total headcase.
  14. Haha i hear ya...who knows? Two more spots to clear via DFA/non-tender before the Winter Meetings left. Son of Sal and the other 30 day wonder, Tim Wood. Some how...Some way.....Butera will be a Twin next year. With my tongue only semi-planted-in-cheek, I'd invite DrewBie in as a non-roster Relief PItcher. Sal Jr hit 95 on the gun in his pitching gem this year. haha i literally just laughed out loud. We just need to cut the chord with Butera.
  15. If the royals wont take them that means basically....NO ONE WILL!

  18. haha knowing the Twins it will be the worst class of draft prospect in years. Or they will screw it up like the Timberwolves! TImberwolves comparison...Ouch! I hear ya. But it seems like they're drafting a bit better lately than they did during that dry spell in the previous decade. And at the very least, the days of the talk about 'signability picks' should be in the rear view mirror by now, given the organization's greater financial resources. Of course you could argue that it never should've been an issue in the first place if the billionaires who owned the team were really fans of the game. That's water over the dam, though. Right? It does seem the recent drafts have fared better as of late. Just like every other Twins fan im hoping we can turn it around just like the White Sox did last year so we dont have a high draft pick.

  20. Hochevar maybe. But he is 29 years old now. He has never had a good season. So probably not...
  21. Im really just not that interested in trading with the Reds. Im hoping The Rays...but they have a pretty smart front office and likely will say no to the Twins demands for Span similar to the Braves. I would be happy with the Rays, as well. But like you siad, they have a very smart front office. Probably best in baseball. I don't see us getting the better end of that deal. I honestly think if we trade Span most people are going to be upset at what we receive for him. Right now the Twins I have heard are asking for a haul for Span.
  22. Alex Smith knew his time was almost over when they drafter Kaepnernick, if I was the vikes I would go after Matt Flynn, Alex Smith I dont think would far to well without Harbaugh. What you guys really need is a deep threat WR.

  24. Because everyone knows the Twins wont do anything this offseason. While I am optimistic about the upcoming winter meetings, your line up might be right because its doubtful the Twins will ever change their ways.
