  1. Definitely had a finger on the "black" as Bert would say
  2. Good send. Souza hasn't thrown a strike all day.
  3. Rosie's not gonna walk twice IN THE SAME GAME!?
  4. Ha. No I asked the guy to eat quieter. Didn't go over too well.
  5. You're right. At least you're in the majority.
  6. Alright, poll. You go to a bar. 3 chairs down a guy eating wings is smacking. Smack smack smack. Finger licking. Etc. Is that rude?
  7. Who is that in right, Souza? Helluva arm
  8. Per LEN3, Greene's going to workout in MSP on June 9 along with regional kids: http://www.startribune.com/twins-take-note-of-adalberto-mejia-shaking-off-catcher/424852453/
  9. Bert Mejia's got a nice ring to it.
  10. 1. Maybe. Its a low bar to begin with, and he's already on the 40 man so there's nothing stopping them trying if they want to. Worst case scenario maybe it sends a message to Rosario that finally penetrates. 2. Good point. Could be a non-starter, but we don't know til we ask. 3. You don't know that. The rumor last winter was Severino for Robertson (+ cash). Too steep for the Nats; they were the ones who walked away. Would you rather have Severino than Garver?
  11. I was kinda curious about that too. Maybe only the 4:30 dinner is catered and they get to fend for themselves for breakfast / lunch?
  12. I think they could do all three if they wanted. At least they could try. 1. Option Rosario, recall Granite. Keeps the LF defense at a high level while hopefully improving OBP. Also a great pinch runner. 2. Trade for Samadzija. He's expensive and early in his contract so the package ought to be reasonable. Maybe Gordon + filler. 3. a. Send Gibson to the pen. b. Fire up the minor league conveyor belt. Get Burdi, Chargois, etc up here. Plenty of DFA candidates at the back of the pen to make it happen. If nothing sticks by the trade deadline, call the White Sox and give them Garver for Robertson.
  13. Samardzija would be a great addition.
  14. I think its just vernacular. "Weighted on base average" sounds too much like on-base percentage, and the values are too similar to OBP. Its a better stat but less intuitive than OPS which does a decent enough job measuring the same thing.
  15. I bet I can guess one of them! Hint: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/03/white-sox-prospect-yoan-moncada-twinkies-85-225-love-mlb-food-yum
  16. #5. Robbie Grossman. Wow. Released by the Indians, signed by TR, then backed up by Falvine as the starting DH. Interesting. Anyways, happy to have him here, critical part of the offense really. I'm a fan.
  17. We got some GM owners here right? Looks like they're facing emissions standards-cheating allegations similar to VW: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-gm-lawsuit-idUSKBN18L25Y
  18. I understand that much. My question is about your baseline. 1/4 way through the season the Twins are 7 games over .500. Are you suggesting that shouldn't factor into their decisionmaking?
