    If Saunders was the 2nd or 3rd best addition to this years rotation , id say would be a decent signing, but for him to be our ace? I think a better use of that money would be to acquire the cuban kid Diaz...a long term solution

    I wonder why you would even trade for Porcello , yes he is young , but has about 6/9 k rate , a career 4.55 ERA, he is to me a younger Correia with a little more zip

    What does history tell us of T.J. surgerys? usally it takes 6 months for the rust to wear off and the 2nd year is when you see the results, so dont expect much from Pelfrey , as for Harden he hasnt pitched in the majors since? 2009. As for Correia he should have been A 1 year contract while the other 2 should have been 1 year with an option.

    So if you figure 6000 at bats for the twins each year we are willing to give up 150 of them to a .183 career hitter? is our offense good enough to obsorb his bat , to keep his glove in the game or on the bench? Also with his defensive prowes creating ing 1-2 games a year for us , how many games do we lose from not having a better bench ?

    Yes it is very hard to acquire quality players when your not the highest bidder and in the midst of being the worst team 2 years running

    50,000 is what it would have cost to sign Lara in the rule 5 draft, which would you prefer on the team? One weakness i see is from the left side of the pen, Duensing (if he isnt starting) or Robertson .Seems a little weak to me

    Not sure how to grade them . This off season was sadly different then from last years,where Terry had an idea of what he wanted and went out and got the players he targeted.This off season it seemed more like he waited till after Christmas for a blue light special in the bargin bins of K-Mart . As for the trades, to me we need to wait an see how Worley recovers and if May is a starter or reliever. C/C+

    If Pressly is used right , he should be able to stick, as for Vazquez ,not to sure about him , but i think the other 3 will get plenty of starts.. go Twins

    Just not sure Saunders is the type of pitcher I would give an extra year to.If he was the 3 rd best starter we signed , I would be in favor of signing him.But at this point of the off season ,im content going into the season with what we have, I dont believe there are any true assets left on the market

    With Boston looking for a left handed 1b , is it posible to build a package around Justin , Harrison , Boyd and maybe Hermsen to aquire Bogaerts?
