  1. Sano is always gonna strike out. It's who he is as a player. But that doesn't mean he can't be a productive player. Jim Thome struck out over 2500 times. Not saying Sano will ever approach Thome's career but the point is, big power sometimes leads to big strikeouts
  2. And you obviously aren't understanding me. The Twins obviously made the decision to trade him. The reality is, this is his value.
  3. He's a rental, you really didn't think we were gonna get a Top 10 prospect, did you? And if you think this deal is bad, imagine what other teams were offering
  4. They are all Class A players
  5. I think people are overvaluing Escobar. He's a 29 year old infielder who's due to be a free agent. And how many of our Top 10 prospects are actually in AAA?
  6. Let's at least see what we got before complaining.
  7. His slider was really biting tonight.
  8. No one is celebrating, it's more accepting fate. And going about getting better for the future.
  9. I'm willing to give the Front office some leeway. They were absolutely right about Melatokis. I'm even willing to forgive the Morrison signing. Low risk high reward signing, IMO. And I don't think anyone forsaw Lynn struggling like he has. I think we are seeing just how barren our farm system is on the higher levels this year. Romero has shown flashes, Gonslaves as well. But particularly we haven't had position player help other than Cave. Is there help on the horizon, yes. Also no one saw Sano, Buxton and Kepler struggling like they have. Be thankful for Rosario, Berrios, Escobar and even Gibson.
  10. I really hope Dozier gets traded. At this point we need to assume he isn't coming back anyways
  11. Yeah, dont think the Vikings would go for that either
  12. If it had broken up a No hitter, I can kind of see it. But why put on a shift for a rookie when your starter has been dominant
  13. I don't think it's a huge deal. When I played, albeit not at this level, I never stopped hitting.
  14. Gotta say, not a huge Grossman fan. Wouldn't be surprised to see him or Vargas traded shortly.
  15. Well, it could mean several things. Maybe it's added depth in advance of a trade. All I know I'm ok with adding a slugger in what should be the prime years of his career
  16. I'm not too concerned as their really haven't been a lot of activity league wide.
  17. Disappointing, yet not unexpected. So I'm assuming we get a call because of our pool money.
  18. It would take Gordon plus a good pitcher I would think.
  19. The fact they are targeting relievers in trade may mean they like starters better in free agency.
  20. I don't think our window is now for one thing. We don't have the pitching to make a deep run as it stands right now
  21. No way do I send anything to help the Yankees unless top pitching prospects are involved.
  22. Why in the world would they flip him? That makes little sense. Our bullpen was terrible last year. Our starters have a lot to be desired, but the bullpen was far worse.
  23. It may be nothing, but it is good to see they are focusing on the players they should be.
  24. I'd be ok with Gordon and Jorge, and filler. No way I trade Jay even with his injuries
