  1. AT least many TD gents anticipate their boys in AAA to be so FAR, FAR better than the veteran pros, they are poor replacements for. 🤩 Some times it seems some do not care how the Twins do , all they want is their rookie boys to play , regardless of how far below what they are bragged to be, they actually are. All they need it more time to learn, improve, be given a chance. -- The Chambers Bros. spoke the truth about their time: Now the time has come There's no place to run I might get burned up by the sun But I had my fun I've been loved and put aside I've been crushed by a tumbling tide And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)
  2. It will never happen, but that is some thing I have always wanted to do. Although, when I ride a train, at least before welded rail, the clickety-clack and wobbling car would put me to sleep quickly. I would probably not remember much . 🥸
  3. IF - only if they have shown they deserve to be given a shot at the Bigs; hitting AAA pitching is not major league. A fair amount who do well with AAA pitching, are far out classed by Major League pitching, while their gloves seem to be some thing new to them. It is called Major League, not Little League try outs. The so called Prospect ranking system seems to be a list by wishful thinkers but it is a bible to a lot of posters here.
  4. Let's see in 2019: Gone - from starters Mauer Escobar Dozier Cave Grossman Adrianza In - for starters Cron Schoop Sano Buxton Cruz Gonzalez Cron, Schoop, Cruz, Gonzalez were not one of the "youths" so many here think are wonder boys, yet the team yet the team went from 78-84 to 101-61. The only way the Twins will continue to be lousy , is if they keep relying on AAA wonder boys.
  5. Larnach had better defense numbers, and similar offense numbers this year than Wallner; get rid of Wallner and keep Larnach.
  6. Ryan is starting to look like another gopher ball Blyleven, but does he have the positive attributes Blyleven had?
  7. OH MY -- That would be a AAA team that would win fewer games than the Saints did for Gardenhire.
  8. He has a strong arm, good, but he is Slow. What bothers me most is his numbers at 3rd, where last year he was very, very good. If he is losing it at 3rd, then SS, which is far more difficult, will probably be a problem. The Twins cannot afford to give up runs/base runners due to a slow, ineffective infield, if their hitting was not a - here-there-here-there - affair, it might be different. As is, they will, probably, need late inning defense replacements, which was necessary for Baldelli.
  9. When Fitz was SS and Martin at 2nd, they made Lee and Keaschall look like they were going in slow motion.
  10. Lee is getting worse, not improving as a defender; Twins need infielders.
  11. Those were technically minor nit-picks, his not forcing the players to learn basic high-school level baseball skills was his , hands-off BS, taking its toll.
  12. Many on TD, TD is not the average fan in the stands. People will not flock to the stadium to watch rookies show they needed more time in AAA.
  13. Julien should go away Far, Far away, forever.
  14. Not as bad as it was last year, or 1977.
  15. Yep, we really need - (place name of favorite wonder boy) - to step up and take over that position. Lee is well suited for a utility role. Same statement made over and over, till the wonder boy sucks and he becomes the next whipping post victim.
  16. Pee and moaning about the team next year, with out knowing squat about a new manager, or who will clear Spring Training is cutting off one's nose to spite one' face out of weird self-pity. We will have at least a glimmer, of what will be, when they pick a new manager and Spring Training starts.
  17. Buxton is going nowhere except to Twins Spring Training next year. Provus is bogus BS.
  18. Twins can find what ever they choose; if Buxton says NO, end of discussion.
  19. That can easily be the difference between AAA and Major League, But, most did not get better over time. Good players adjust over time, IF, the coach/es give them ways to so.
  20. He is another Gardenhire, nice guy, lousy coach.
  21. That is rationalizing his failure, HE was the HEAD coach , he is responsible for ALL that HIS coaches do, no excuses.
