  1. I will be happy if they win both the Dodgers and Yankee series.
  2. Heck, Julien is still with the Twins with his Iron Glove. If he meets all of Ziggy's requirements, nothing to lose, but better at DH.
  3. 🤔As a non-actual numbers statement - IF the average age of hitting the bigs was 25 and the average age of moving on to a different job was 35 , 30 year old players would be middle aged.🤔
  4. They are not developing, for goodness sakes; they are training for more and more difficult opponents , in a sport they are well versed on, as the go through the Minor Leagues. A five year old could be called developing as he is experienceing some thing absolutely new to him.🍺
  5. Put him in when the Twins get blown out; his power and inaccuracy would put fear in any batter.
  6. That is what Spring Training is for, NOT regular season. If he shows well in Spring Training he will be up; if he sucks at the Majors he goes back down.
  7. You mean well known names like : Boof Bonzer, Willie Norwood, Bombo Rivera, Craig Kusick etc., etc., etc.. The Twins have enough hyped failures; they need a team that stays together and wins more than they lose.

    Thanksgiving

God Bless You One and All! Happy Thanksgiving! We got up and watched the Macy's Parade till we left for a dinner at The Green Mill. Then we came home and watched the The Natioaal Dog Show. Ater that we saw a PBS show called My Life as a Turkey, in which a gent raised a nest of turkeys, from eggs, a farmer had left on his doorstep. The show was based on a ture story and the gent who has originally done it, was the narrator. They had an exact recreation of the story - from the get-go - with an actor, supervised by the origianl gent. He said they were very, very fortunate that the recreation set of turkeys had personalities very close to the original. As was expected, but still a bit sad. In the end the tureys matured and left except one Tom turkey, but he finally matured to the point it attacked the man (they saw him as another turkey). After that he never saw another turky in the area, of any kind. The meat at the Green Mill was pretty good as they had ham and turkey with the normal other sides. I was dissapointeehd that the turkey was turkey loaf but the ham was sliced off of a ham at a serving table. The desert table was a Lot OF a standard variety but they also had small chocolate covered Cream Puffs. I wish had taken more of those and skipped the pie; they were UMMMM GOOD. Godspeed to you all and I hope your Thanksgiving was a good time with family and friends.
  9. Rodriguez is just average in AAA, he has show nothing to be called starter; bring him up for a look-see, depends on how he would do in Spring Training. Goldschmidt is a glass that is either half full or half empty depending on one's prejudices. Clemens had a good glove at First which does not make Goldschmidt a true need at First. Martin was fairly good at Second; Keaschall , his glove work too closely resembles Julien - so far. Short Stop is the BIG need; Lee is not good enough, while Lewis is , even improved, a midiocre Third baseman; Lee was good there last year.
  10. Optimism, like empty stands, because the team stinks. If the newbies stink, then they can become the new crop of players this site dumps on, also.
  11. War is a calloused . But the other posters reason for that quote was a good one.
  12. So you love Contreras, Blankenhorn, Hamilton, Luplow, etc., well good for you.😶‍🌫️ NIce Try.
  13. I said in another post, Lee was not Bad at SS, using Polanco at Short as a comparison but his very small range is why his stats look like this: He is Not Good enough to be average. Time to put him at 3rd where he was pretty good last year and leave SS to some one who is better than not real bad but not good either.
  14. Well, experienced has-beens , are better than ignorant , never-will-be youths.
  15. As one of the radio announcers said: "Put Brosmer in."
  16. Santana back at first base; still a dinger hitter and still a Very Good glove. Lee is not bad at SS within his very small range, but that tiny range is the problem.
  17. Time to put Wentz back in. unless they want to imitate Les Steckel's year again from this point on.
  18. Canario for Lrarnach or Wallner, not a bad idea.
  19. This gent has what seems to be a good glove, not a bad choice.
  20. Lewis glove - seem - to have improved. His not so great throwng arm would not be a big hinderance there, but....
