    You call them up if new equivalents of Fedko, Julien cause little harm, which is not now.

    Lewis has his moments but that is all but pitchers , now, cannot get him with the same pitch every game; now his glove work is no better than it has ever been but at 1st, he rarely has to throw the ball to try to make an out so he is OK there. Still wears an iron glove too often.

    I still remember when the Twins were down by 3 in the Ninth against the Yankees, and two hits, each followed by a home run, won the game for the Twins against the Yankkees. I will never forget Cruz, literally , hopping down the first base line as he watched his winning hit go over the wall.

    A Baldelli moment, pull the pitcher who shut the Twins down so a not good pitcher can lose the game.

    As I said, media hype, the same reason the soccer World Cup got the attention this year. Trump and his cronies hyped the heck out of so it got attention that it would Not have gotten without it. Politics, I guess are one reason the Vikings got their stadium, although the fact the Dummy Dome dumped on he sporting fans by governor goofy sucked, is also a main reason.

    Vikings get year-round hype from the sports news people, no matter how pee poor they are; they cover the Twins reluctantly. The Vikings and a few other teams used to be known as tough, for playing in outdoors in early winter, now they are just another team, except with the softies indoor stadium, they are losers.

    Watching the last play by Lewis, his throwing is still a main problem, slow, very slow to get the ball out of his glove.

    Are they all trying to hit dingers , rather than simple little Texas league singles? The "hitting the ball hard" is more bull ****, when a simple soft single is worth more than a 100 mph out.

    Not wanting to jinx him, but at 2nd base Lewis' does not seem to have the iron glove he has at First Base.

    Kreidler plugged the gaping hole at Short Stop and has a batting average higher than Lewis, although that is not hard to do.

    I believe they knew what he could have done as a catcher if he had not been injured; a courtesy not given to Tony Oliva.

    The most disappointing/choking team in Minn. history. I was once a football fanatic, reality set in decades ago, partly caused by the Tarkenton hype verses reality of his talent, although the collapse of the 1969 season , starting with the last game of the season lost to Atlanta was an omen of the future.
