  1. Bat first closed minds trashed him all season. His glove never stopped working but he lost his batting skills suddenly.
  2. Big difference between Gray's and Lee's throwing strength.
  3. Nothing wrong with Larnach's defense, although he is much better in right field..
  4. Nice to see a home run on Game Day long before TV.
  5. They should play soccer with hockey contact rules.
  6. If Ryan has another "bad inning" would not be a surprise.
  7. Very, very unlikely Wallner would have made that catch.
  8. It is nice to see the Third Baseman NOT bouncing the ball to First.
  9. Right now a Houston grand slam will just be annoying to the Twins.
  10. The Game Day image of this game is way ahead of the TV broadcast, most of the time.
  11. I think there is more than a few players who, if they tried, are a lot faster than what they normally do - but Lee is not one of them.
  12. Could be another Jose Miranda, BUT, Miranda was hit by a pitch that probably ruined his career, whereas, Martin could just be another Julien who cannot adjust to the other teams changing how they pitch him.
  13. The one announcer last night said: Ryan had one bad inning against the Dodgers, and one bad inning tonight. The Twins lost both games. One bad inning is all it takes to lose a game and so called "Ace" pitchers do not regularly have - one bad inning that loses a game.
  14. The right time is when the Twins gents in charge think it is the right time. No one here Knows anything about who will stay at Short Stop; Kreidler has a very good glove . That is some thing the Twins need badly there. The record of the gents coming up from AAA that so many here pee and moan should happen, is very poor. Some of the poster do not seem to give a darn about the Twins; no matter what the Twins do it is the wrong thing to them. If they did they would not babble - bring the youths up. They only want to to see their boys up from AAA. If the rookie fails , hurting the Twins, they trash them and start belly aching that some one else should come up. It would be stupid to bring another one up and watch him fail, while the Twins still have a chance at the Post Season. Next season's Spring Training will expose what is what.
  15. Just like Keaschal? There is nothing that says Culpepper is ready for the Big League pitching except in some TD starry eyes, only that he is very good at AAA. If the Twins tank, he will probably get time up in Sept. maybe.
  16. You may be correct, but after a Long, Long time at third he was never more than a poor Third Baseman. Catching a ball hit directly at you, should not be a problem for a professional ball player.
  17. Shelton said the three singles were what bothered him most.
