He had two good game in May which jacked his OPS from .448 to 1.099 and BA to .368. By Sept. his BA was.218 when his strike out rate temp. slowed down and it was up to .249 by seasons end with a raised OPS of .877.

Then why aren't Gallo and Taylor still here?

Wallner is/will be in Left Field because the Twins have no one else to replace him, they are going with what they have.

Too much angst over the future, right now the Twins look better than last year , at least as far as people with owies go, with the pitching staff no more of a question mark than it was last year. The Twins money situation , regadless of how they let float in public of it, is what they will decide in a moment if they so choose; not worth having -- What IF -- coniptions about. Right now the only items I really wonder about is : Did Buxton's body fix, fix his bat; Will Correa's fielding be at Simmon's level and bat at Lewis level; Will Jeffers fielding come close to his bat level. Season starts soon, and I will not let angst dim that day. Happy Palm Sunday to all.

His Spring Training numbers were very similar to Wallner's.

IF, IF, IF.... Ely De La Cruz came out of Spring Training last year looking like the next Ted Williams, well he cooled down a lot but to still very respectable numbers for a rookie. His Spring Training this year: His fielding still stinks but those numbers show he will be be a star some day, avoiding injuries. Wold apart from Wallners 50 percent strike out rate. AAA is where wannabes learn, not the Majors regular season.

Wallner got a hit.

Last year if you double Wallner's . he had 15 PA more than Kepler had; Kepler had 106 Ks, so if you Double the number Wallner had it would be 160 Ks. Wallner is heading full blast to Gallo Territory, without the fielding skills; 2nd best, bollocks , his ST is just a continuing of his Post Season numbers.

Gee, why didn't the Twins win the World Series when they were lousy in Spring Training, the odds are so high. Twins ST 1984 = 14-10, 1991 = 21- 10 , hmmm, maybe the secret is to lose only 10 games in Spring Training.

For what it is worth: The 1997 Marlins had their best ever Spring Training record 26-5, best ever regular season record 92-70 , and won the World Series.
