  1. Because the flacid excuse -- working on some thing -- is barrel over flowing with bovine dung; if the Twins have another 13 Ks on sub-Major League level pitching, and other teams hit and score easily, Twins have a real problem, hitting and pitching.
  2. Second Inning, teams tied at 4 Ks each.
  3. Polanco, we will miss him without exception: Rooker , if he maintains, he finally is getting it together: Gordon, doing well at his new home: Arraez, nasty start but turned it on: Urshela, well above the Mendoza line:
  4. Sano not great but not bad.
  5. Rortvedt is have a fairly good Spring Training.
  6. Only 4 strike outs so far today.
  7. Lewis, Kepler and Vazquez lead the K parade, not good.
  8. He will sleep better tonight.
  9. Error, I had brought up Martins stats. by mistake.
  10. Only in a different universe.🤣 He started 8 games at SS, he is not going to be called up, period. Correa, he will play SS till he thinks he does not want to.
  11. This is Twins Daily, News about Baseball, Opinions are discretionary, at that I have few opinions on pitching.
  12. Just under 50 percent strike out rate.
  13. Judge 2023 regular season, nice splits , what is your point?
  14. They did not send him down to learn how to hit, his defense needs a lot of work:
  15. Wallner in the Majors, last year.
  16. He had two good game in May which jacked his OPS from .448 to 1.099 and BA to .368. By Sept. his BA was.218 when his strike out rate temp. slowed down and it was up to .249 by seasons end with a raised OPS of .877.
  17. Then why aren't Gallo and Taylor still here?
  18. Wallner is/will be in Left Field because the Twins have no one else to replace him, they are going with what they have.
  19. https://www.mlb.com/news/twins-outfield-options-for-2024-season A look-see at what was said before the Spring Training season started. ----------------------------------------- AROUND THE HORN: OUTFIELD "As the Twins descend upon Fort Myers, Fla., for Spring Training next week, all eyes will be on center field, the post to which Byron Buxton has proclaimed he’ll return this season after not stepping foot on the outfield grass all last season as he dealt with his knee issues. Buxton’s ability to return to center field -- and the extent to which he can stay there -- will arguably be one of this team’s most important storylines and pivot points in 2024. But there’s plenty of intrigue in the corners, too. Namely: Can Matt Wallner continue to improve on a very impressive debut performance in ‘23 and avoid a sophomore slump as the league figures him out? And if Max Kepler remains on the team in the final year of his contract, can he sustain his long-awaited offensive improvements that made him one of the club’s most important hitters in the second half?" And will this finally be the year in which the Twins will find a proven right-handed hitter to platoon in an outfield spot? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another story line which includes a Minn. Twin: https://www.mlb.com/news/second-half-stars-carrying-momentum-into-2024
  20. Too much angst over the future, right now the Twins look better than last year , at least as far as people with owies go, with the pitching staff no more of a question mark than it was last year. The Twins money situation , regadless of how they let float in public of it, is what they will decide in a moment if they so choose; not worth having -- What IF -- coniptions about. Right now the only items I really wonder about is : Did Buxton's body fix, fix his bat; Will Correa's fielding be at Simmon's level and bat at Lewis level; Will Jeffers fielding come close to his bat level. Season starts soon, and I will not let angst dim that day. Happy Palm Sunday to all.
  21. His Spring Training numbers were very similar to Wallner's.
  22. IF, IF, IF.... Ely De La Cruz came out of Spring Training last year looking like the next Ted Williams, well he cooled down a lot but to still very respectable numbers for a rookie. His Spring Training this year: His fielding still stinks but those numbers show he will be be a star some day, avoiding injuries. Wold apart from Wallners 50 percent strike out rate. AAA is where wannabes learn, not the Majors regular season.
