  1. I stand corrected , I remember the blowout with Woodson against Texas but I thought Texas blew us out 2 in a row , but I'll take your word on the back to back double digit losses with Smithson and viola , I knew Smithson was involved somewhere in a double digit loss .... Remember when twins were ahead 10-0 over Cleveland and viola pitching , I believe it was 1984 , Cleveland came back and won that game 11-10 , any chance of catching Royals late in the season finished with that loss ...
  2. Oh I remember almost every game except 81 through 83 when I was out west working in Utah and Wyoming on gas pipe lines ... My favorite memories may of 1969 are tovar and carew stealing 5 bases in one inning and both stole home that same inning too ... A more recent memories is Benny revere rounding second and summersaulted over the base and still made a triple in July of 2011 ... Best game in ever saw was a doubleheader at the old met stadium , we win the first Gane 9-8 against Oakland A's , second game was the best game I ever saw except for game 7 of 1991 world series , Oakland was leading 8-7 bottom of the ninth, 2 outs and rod carew on second and Harmon killebrew at the plate , he is who we want up in that situation , on the second pitch Harmon swings and it's hit to left center and it appears to be a homerun and we were going crazy but Joe rudi climb the wall and took the homerun away , a great catch .... Why was the loss the best game I saw , Harmon gave it all but his all just wasn't quite good enough that game , Joe rudi was a very good left fielder ... Another memory was Tony Olivia's last hit and game , he hit a ball to right field that again we all thought it was out , it was a soaring shot that hit high on the wall and Oliva with his bad knees only got a single and that was Tony's last game , it's a sad memory but when I see Tony I always bring it up , I named a dog Oliva and Tony when I told him that couldn't believe , the twins pkayees of sixties and seventies , I had alot of heros ...
  3. If you can remember pitchers dick Woodson and Mike Smithson from the eighties , they gave up double digit wins in consecutive games and I believe I was against the Texas Rangers too ..
  4. Double digit losses ... in the past 8 days and 7 games , the twins pitching has surrendered 3 double digit losses , they have only surrendered 3 all season ( 1 in Sacramento and 2 at hone against Texas ) so since Lopez went on IL list , what's happening to our pitching ... The twins hitters on the other hand have won 5 double digit wins this season , so we are up 2 in that department ... Man this game was another pathetic , pitiful, putrid , piss poor played game , even my streaming was lost for the game ... Trying to score and the pressure once again is to much ... bases full and no outs and all 3 get stranded , still not enough consistency in the clutch ... new pitcher Wentz's orientation to Minnesota's bullpen Didn't go as planned , better luck next time ... Coloumbe still has not given up any of his own runs and one has to have some concerns about Ober's pitching , his velocity loss and his control , to many walks today ... Jeffers for a catcher that sees alot of pitches , sure is a bad guesser in recognizing opponents pitches ... Well here's wishing we beat up on Houston in Houston that are leading their division once again ...
  5. Is that what happened , I lost my stream also , I just went for a road trip to listen to the test of the game on radio ... I figured the game was lost and they didn't want to televise it any longer ...
  6. You asked and answered your own question ... Sellers at the deadline
  7. Our pipeline is brought up to the mlb club and sent back down without even throwing and innings ... We could have used Adam's now ...
  8. Right now why ruin what we have , just keep going with what pitching we have unless we have another starter go down , our injuries to our pitchers are not season ending so we will get them back at some point ... I sure hope Ober can correct his mechanics and get his velocity back ...
  9. In 2022 the front office made their biggest mistake in evaluating the team as contenders , they made trades that didn't work out much ... Now in 2023 at the deadline the team was on the contending side but the front office made the mistake in evaluating the team and stood pat with the players they had ( best window of opportunity to win it all ), they were confident in their players they had , but we had holes to fill to put us in the opportunity to win it all , yes we won the division and some wins in the playoffs , it was a good season but could have been better ... Then came the off season 2023 - 24 and the payroll reduced , and no action at the deadline to keep us competitive believing that the 2023 players would take it all again in 2024 , crash and burn ( a pink slip offense crash and burn ) ... 2024-25 off-season was insignificant , some additions , France, Bader and coloumbe have turn out well so far ... I see the 2025 team as competitive after the winning streak but not contenders just yet ( we were once 7 ganes above 500 ) , maybe we will know more at end of June , most definitely by deadline what this team could be capable of doing ... I don't see the front office or pohlads doing any additions , subtraction is most likely if it was today ... The twins played a really good game last night , everything clicked pitching , defense and offense came through , can't have lousy games like the night before getting blown out of the saddle where there should of been a 10 run rule , just plain ugly defense , offense and pitching ... Right now I see the twins as a 500 club and that's better then I mentioned at the start of the season ...
  10. Back in the win column , Bats were pretty good tonight ...
  11. That was funny , made my day ... After review the call stands the runner is safe , when he was out ... It was close , maybe the crew chief thought he was safe from a different view ...
  12. The twins did something right ... First Festa didn't throw the ball away and the players played run down with would be stealer and finally got him , I wonder who got more tired , our players or the Texas runner ...
  13. The twins did something right , first Festa didn't throw the ball away and then the run down on attempted steal , they got him , yeah ...
  14. 3 run game changer homerun , buxton is so fun to watch once again
  15. Lead off hitter has gotten on each inning , nothing to show for it ... I'm still worried ...
  16. This time though , Correa didn't have to hit into a double play , he just stood there at strike 3 and Willie out stealing for double play ... If it's close YOU SHOULD SWING...
  17. I'm still worried ... Like the aggressiveness , but Castro was clearly out easily and Rocco had them check to see if they wanted to challenge ...
  18. I've been worried since the start of the season ...
  19. Even if some did claim him , at this point in his twins career it wouldn't be a great loss , he's been awful since that Texas melt down last year ... He's had a few low leverage outings he's done good , but it's just not enough to keep him pitching for the mlb club ... If no one claims him he can be a free agent I believe or he can go play for the saints and work things out ...
  20. My take on game ... Sloppy loss ... SWR can't seem to go 5 innings but I think we found our 3 inning long relief pitcher , Adam's sent back to AAA before he could make his mlb debut ... What to do with Alcala ??? Tough game , I dozed and missed bottom of eighth and top of ninth , bottom of the ninth was uneventful
  21. It's a blow out , did anyone see it coming ??? Lopsided sloppy game for the Twins , as Rocco will probably say in post-game, we'll try and be ready for tomorrow nights game ...
  22. Acala is not mentally into to it now and Rocco is not mentally into it either , get him out of there
  23. Has wallner hit a homerun with anyone on base since coming back from injury ..
